I missed it by a day, Ed. He started! Great outing considering he's missed almost THREE YEARS. Wow, time flies.

That's really huge news for this organization. He may be our best pitching prospect not named Romero still, despite the missed time. And is still young; doesn't turn 22 until late November. If he can have a solid year this year and end up in Chattanooga? To be knocking on the door as a 22 year old next year? That would be huge for our pitching depth. Here's hoping.

Two ground outs and an infield pop up for Stephen Gonsalves in a 1-2-3 first inning

Gonsalves in the 2nd: caught a lineout, fielded a grounder, double, fielded another grounder... 0 R, 1 H.

Looks like long man

23 year old lefty that has apparently failed as a starter. can barely break the pane of glass. 10K in 23.1IP; had 67 as a starter last year in 115 IP

Got a look tonite on TV of Alex Meyer for the Angels going against the Mets. 95+ fastball, too many walks (although not missing by a lot). Basically the same guy that was in NewBritain.

Those 7 shut out innings dropped Wheeler's AAA era to 4.50. Probably need to see a little more.

into his 3rd year at AAA

Hasn't gotten consistent. I think Slegers is probably passing him.

Your favorite AA pitcher went on the DL after May 7th start. Left knee tendinitis
