Lewis hit at least one in the GCL, too

Guy is a difference maker. Impacts the teams he's on. GCL Twins haven't been the same since he left. CR needed an uptick when guys left for FTM.

He's provided that and more.

Sure looking like a great choice.
I like saying that about our management
It's a nice change

Seems like a hit. 2nd pick too.

Rooker has HR'd a lot at FTM too. 8 or 9 at that level. Wiel leads team with 11, and he's been there all year. Rooker has been there 5 weeks or so.

Like advancements they've done this year.

The Enlow kid they over-slotted has pitched well in first go-round, which is encouraging too.

I do not get why Dickkk doesn't overplay this, like he overplays everything else positive?
You'd never know this, if you just watched his broadcasts.
He should be crowing like a rooster over this.
It means you have built yourself one helluva an org this year.
Something like this, we usually put on mugs, and have "weekends" for, .... in ten years.
WHY the big secret?

We don't want to raise expectations too high for the big club in future years.

Rooker was the best hitter in College Baseball last year and hence the best hitter in the draft. I'm not surprised at all by what he has been doing.

Cattanooga and FTM are their league/division 2nd half champs

Roch is 1 1/2 up in the WC race...now minus 3 pitchers called up

CR won a playoff birth in the first half, 5 out this half

Eliz won their division; only team over .500 at 41-27

GCL 35-23 won their division, also only one over .500 at 35-23 (they beat up their division pretty well)

So at least 6 of 7 are in playoffs at this point.

Roch can get in with a win today or Monday to close out the season, or a loss by the Phils affiliate either day.

Yes

Shoulder impingement

Whatever that is
Has been on the DL for over a week already

Was nearing his innings max anyway

The Twins have agreed to a deal with Venezuelan outfielder Carlos Aguiar, Mike Berardino of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports. The contract contains a $1MM bonus.

Aguiar wasn’t eligible to be signed until his 16th birthday, which took place on August 28. “Several late suitors” besides the Twins were also vying for Aguiar’s services, Berardino writes, though Aguiar had been linked to Minnesota since well before the 2017-18 international signing period opened on July 2.

Aguiar ranked 30th on Baseball America’s list of the top 50 (non-Cuban) prospects in the 2017-18 international class. A left-handed hitter, Aguiar is already 6’3″ and 190 pounds at his young age.

The Twins already made one big splash in this year’s int’l market with their $3MM signing of Dominican shortstop Jelfry Marte, one of the priciest bonuses handed out to any player in this year’s class. Minnesota entered July 2 with a total bonus pool of $5.25MM and acquired another $500K in international spending money from the Nationals as part of the Brandon Kintzler trade. $4.3MM of that $5.75MM total has been accounted for between the bonuses for Marte, Aguiar and Dominican outfielder Luis Baez, who signed for $300K.

Berardino also reports that Mauro Bonifacio, a Dominican outfielder long linked to the Twins, has been drawing attention from other teams and now won’t be signing with Minnesota.

Lewis probably did instructionals and likely is working out in preparation for 2018.

Young guys like that don't normally do winter leagues.
