That is really discouraging for a proposed future star. Slumps like that should not happen, especially in the lower minor leagues.

Slumps like that happen to good players at every level. Lewis just turned 19 in June and is playing in a league where the average age is 22. It's late in the season and this is the first time he has been subjected to a grind like this in his life. He played 54 games last year and 117 this year. Lewis has hit the wall plain and simple. Hell of a year: .294, .356, .459, .815 with 14 HR, 74 RBI and 28 SB. Now that he has been through a full season, and as his body matures, I'm sure he'll hold up better next year.

Buxton is now 17 hits in 44 at bats for a 386 avg since returning from the DL in Rochester. In that time, he has 1 HR, 7 doubles, 1 triple, 10 runs and 7 rbi's. Only one BB and with 10 K's. The latter needs to improve.

Why even respond when he posts 100 pissy posts in a row Sweens?

So much now depends on Buxton. With the Twins lacking star power, he needs to be it. Next year. Immediately. And I mean by June he needs to playing like an all star. No slow start batting .150 and striking out every 3 at bats. If he isn't productive right out of the chute I'm done with him.

Well if a stiff breeze wouldn't blow and give him a pulled hammy, or he wouldn't fall down tying his shoes and break a wrist or something he probably will do better. His problem isn't abililty or talent. It's staying healthy. He's been dinged up pretty much constantly since the beginning of the year. He's finally getting healthy and it is showing.

When does the Arizona Fall League start? Do we know which team the Twins players will join this year? Guesses as to which Twins players will be on the roster?

Just guessing

Matt wants the regular season over sooner than Molitor does.

None of the above.

They'll name the AZ fall league roster in the next couple of days, from what I've read.

The league has gravitated more to the guys in AA or lower.

Probably

Kirilloff
Rooker

Maybe Lewis

and lots of ?? about pitchers.

Eliz, thanks to the start of the season studs, and Cedar Rapids, thanks to those studs moving up, are in the playoffs

FTM, thanks to having Kirilloff and Lewis move up, has 4 games left. Tied for 1st in the 2nd half standings at 38-27

before they arrived, in the first half, FTM was 28-40
