I was hoping to see Buxton in New Britain this summer. Will that happen now?

If Buxton is the good hitter for average that his numbers seem to indicate, Twins need to be really sure his wrist is fully healed before playing him. I remember seeing Dan Driessen (Cincinnati) on the way up; 1 of the best looking hitters I've seen in AA. First couple of years in majors were .300s; then had some type of hand/wrist injury for a couple of months; after that he was just an ordinary guy for the rest of his career.

Amsure the RWings, 3 under .500 heading into today, will be getting support from ol' Mandy-laro shortly, on how the Twins are gutting this super team and such.

Team ERA is 3.48, so it's obvious the offense is really underperforming.

Fryer is an awesome guy to have around, with his lofty .185 average. Rohlfing, his backup is at .182

but man, do those Twins have GREAT catching surplus!

Kenny Wilson re-claimed by TOR.

That era ended quickly, eh?

Our front office was outsmarted by TOR. They now have both Maestro and Wilson. We have nothing.

What are you talking about? We have tons of infielders we can just send into the outfield; what could go wrong?

Twins have cast their lot with Buxton progressing quickly.

There obviously was no back up plan.

Do the Twins even know what back up plan means? I'm not sure they've ever had one. In anything.

Its such a cute little sideshow to talk about after the game, too.
Ol Red Face giggles about it. (when we win)

Not so damn funny when we get waffle-stomped, however .....

Not sure what thread to put this in so I'll try it here.

Starting 9 midseason 2015:

LF Hicks/Rosario (trade one of them)
CF Buxton
RF Arcia
DH Mauer (can he stay healthy at DH?)
1B Sano
2B Dozier
SS Santana
3B Plouffe
C Pinto

Rotation:

Meyer
Hughes
Nolasco
Gibson
Berrios

Wishful thinking on Berrios? AA by mid-2014. AAA 2015. Midseason call up?

Manager: Paul Molitor

One would hope that might sign a FA bat?

If the high-lighted doesn't happen, that team won't be worth watching. Because it wont develop.

The only positions worth signing a FA bat for next year, given the other longterm spots, are SS and bench bat.

I disagree. IF we can sign a decent OF to a one year deal we need to do that. I'm not assuming any of our outfielders will be ready come opening day next year. And given the lack of depth we have now, how do we not consider adding outfield depth?

Ya, I could see a 1-year deal. But I wouldn't go any more than that for any OF'er. Our talent is close there.
