What I am hoping for is McCarthy to build on last week and show he is a legitimate starting NFL QB. Beyond that, I hope KAM can figure out how to draft.

So far so good.

Looked like he had more time in the pocket as well, or he was getting rid of the ball quicker.

The low ball release will have to looked into....he gets more batted down then anyone.

Part of it is the slow wind up. It's something that can definitely be corrected.

He needs to stop throwing everything with the same release point. If he can learnt o develop some touch and the ability to float the ball, it'll be harder for linemen to time the release.

One thing that really stood out was how many easy floaters Dak threw last night that were well over the linemen and just dropped into the arms of his targets.

JJ is still all fastballs, but he was much more accurate and decisive last night.

The most obvious was the rocket thrown to Nailor for a TD.....just inches over a lineman/LB about 10 yards away.

And those fastballs are often high. Like the pass to Hock who had to jump. The pass to JJ in the end zone was a high heater, and given the angle as well IMO it wasn't a drop but rather in the category of ~ it would have been a fantastic catch.

Next week serves up the last of 3 consecutive defensive patsies. Then it's Det and GB. All in all a good mix of games to hopefully progress.

The defense didn't let a really good offense score a TD in the second half....but then they were giving up 7-10 yards a pop on most running plays it seemed. I just didn't get how they were doing it..

JJM play another efficient game. He wasn't perfect, passes sailed, some were thrown too hard, he needs to learn more touch. and they will work on that in the offseason. The last two weeks have been a good confidence builder for him. Now if only he can start connecting more with Jets. I am seeing some growth. There may be some hope for him yet.

Gotta give Nailer some credit. He's balling right now. Keaschall is money. Wright was pinning em deep everytime.

They played well through all three phases of the games

I love that we have essentially ousted the Cowboys from the playoffs...

4 of our losses have come off the arms of Wentz and Brosmer too. Can't say how they would have went if JJM could have played but I bet it's better than 2-4.

LOL, Duh.

I meant the kicker.

For whatever reason his name escapes me for the moment.

And Jonathan Greenard is out for the rest of the year.

Shoulder surgery

Dallas Turner needs to step it up and some younger pass rusher needs to as well.

yes, imagine if o'connell had less ego, and a little bit of experience in developing young qb's...it would have been much more interesting had he been running a workable scheme and play calling for mccarthy since september... we'd be in the mix right now for some postseason action and more mccarthy maturation....

To play devil's advocate, Imagine you're a head coach. You have a rebuild offensive line and a rookie QB who hasn't really played. You install an offense all pre-season and the kid looks okay. Then the injuries hit. O-line goes down, kid looks rough then gets injured. Wentz comes in look about the same with broken Oline- Finally work your way back to rookie and semi-competent line. Now at what point exactly should he have known to scrap what he knows will work and is the right way to develop a quarterback. (see last two seasons) when the pieces arrive and go with something else. Mind you the something else is encouraging some terrible mechanics and development in a young QB and not a sustainable way to play the position but it might work better for the moment. I might hesitate and hope JJ figures it out as well. When it became obvious he wasn't going to figure it out he made the move to a simplified approach. And it has worked but that wasn't guaranteed. But lets be honest JJ isn't lighting it up out there and his throwing technique isn't good. He is missing open reads and his footwork and ball placement sucks. But because he's not being asked to focus on that he can just "play football' which will beat ok teams. To be a great team we will need much better play than Sunday Nights. I get he's young and should improve but I would be shocked if KOC, if attached to a lie detector, doesn't wince a little on some of those "good" plays because they are ingraining techniques he will have to coach out of him this off season. KOC hoped JJ would get there faster and he hasn't but there were a lot of confounding variables of injury that made knowing he wouldn't get it in time less obvious than it seems. I think he also was hesitant to do it this way as it might actually be hurting JJ in some ways. #Not-ready-to-give-up-on-coach-of-the-year-quite-yet

What I heard from Skor North is that starting last week they went 50/50 on 3 WR sets instead of 70% and it made a huge difference.

JJ loves his TE.

Congratulations.

You're not just an imbecile but its perfectly tuned to world events.

You've elevated your jackassery, from just hoping for more racism in the nfl, so we cold hold onto Flores longer.

Which is what you said before last offseason.

That's a fine example of the self-anointed and much ballyhooed "out of the box" thinking that limited minds do not possess.

The 1st 5 letters of Reichard are Reich, sounds like it could be German. Shocking isn't it.

Tom is using projection calling something jackassery, Tom sounds like an ass, and keeping Flores on the Vikes seems like a good thing. I await more comments from Tua during the off-season to keep Flores as our DC.

Bill continues to try and make himself some sort of self appointed caretaker for what he thinks should be the boards 'sane' thinking, and I will not be bullied by his small mind.

I will say it again:

It is very much in Bill's character to misrepresent what someone has said, to misconstrue it, to take a snippet, run with it, then expand on some imagined point, add some sarcasm, act victorious, and try to give the appearance that he speaks for the entire board, that he is some sort of voice of reason, that no other idea outside of his little brain has merit.

If you want to reverse it, I guess if you don't like Brian Flores, you can hope the good ol' boys network becomes less racist and accepts someone that might be controversial, hope that Tua keeps his mouth shut during the off season, and Flores is offered a head coaching position ....

Justin Jefferson said he was mad at himself for not catching the TD pass he dropped from J.J. McCarthy, though he said the throw came in faster than he expected.

"It was coming in hot, for sure," Jefferson said with a laugh. "We all know J.J. knows how to throw the ball, and he knows how to get it to that spot. It was a great throw, great spot. You know, of course I wasn't expecting that much heat on the ball, but that's definitely never an excuse. I always got to catch those types of balls."

I will try to explain myself better in the future, or you end up with guys like Bill or Tom not understanding what I am saying, then making a different statement that some might offend some people.

The racism I was talking about wasn't the entire NFL, it isn't the entire NFL that hires head coaches. It is the good ol' boys network of white owners that could be racist, there have been lawsuits about this.

IF the accusations that the owners can be racist are true, I am only hoping those owners continue to be racist, so the Vikings continue to employ Brian Flores as defensive coordinator.

I have a playful demeanor, and didn't realize that taking the 1st 5 letters of someone's name and combining it with something to make it easy to remember, if it's something bad, that might offend somebody. It was not my intention to offend anyone over that, and I apologize to anyone that was offended by it.
