Randle-El sucks. Dante almost as bad and injured. There had to be a way to keep KAT, and we'd be walking to a title right now.

I like Randle. Yes I know all his faults and I know he has stinker games sometimes, but he has pluses too.

I’d take Randle and Dante over Towns any day. And you have to factor in too that Towns and Rudy together was not going to work long term, though they did make the best of it for a season.

Thump.

It's hard to get excited about the NBA draft. So... <sigh>

Until next year!

Personally I'd rather have Towns. Julius was on the verge of winning me over and then went into a completel funk when the Gianis rumors were swirling. He never pulled out of it. The KAT /Rudy combo went to the WCF finals as well. They did it without the benefit of Stef Curry getting injured in game 1 of a series.

I’m kind of glad the season ended on the note that it did, getting blown out badly.

The Denver series was remarkable. But even with that you knew it was a slim chance they’d put it all together and get past San Antonio and OKC and the East champion. Nobody was saying “Okay here we go, this is our year.”

So it was inevitable they were going down. But if it had been going down with nail biters and “Oh boy we were right there. if we’d have just gotten a couple of calls, gotten a couple of breaks, if if if…”

That could have led to a delusional offseason of largely standing pat again.

This series highlighted that there is still a lot of room for improvement.

Connelly built a team designed to beat Denver in the playoffs. They have done a great job of that. The problem is that there are now much better teams than Denver that are constructed differently. This roster has already gone as far as it will ever go, IMO. It needs to be overhauled around Ant and McDaniels.

Read an in-depth article in (I think) Bleacher Report days ago. Didn't want to jump in with it right after the series. Anyway it essentially said Ant needs another star on the team. There are too many almost good enough type players.

And agree re KAT.

And I don't buy the injury excuse. Wolves were a 3-point miss and a Wemby ejection from a fairly likely sweep... without J-W.

You need talent like OKC and SA to compete next year. Rumors are Connelly is checking in on Giannis or Morant.

Shams says the Heat and Timberwolves were the two teams the Bucks went ‘back and forth’ with on Giannis this past deadline:

“Minnesota, Lakers, Celtics, Heat, Knicks, those are the teams that had interest in Giannis at the deadline. You think about teams like Miami and Minnesota, those were more back and forth engagement conversations. Then you had teams like CLE, LAL, BOS, NYK, that just checked in…. It’s TBD does Milwaukee feel like their best offer is going to come from MIN, or a Miami, or some other team. That’s what we’re going to find out over the next few weeks”

I don't know that I would want either one of them.

Because he's negative value.

That can change if the motivation is right.

I also heard another rumor that wasn't as big as the other 2.....Lauri Markkanen and Kyrie.

Ja is not good.

He can't shoot, he won't play defense and he's not as athletic as he was in the past, so he's not as good at the one thing he could do.

Not to mention he's a total moron on and off the court.

Apparently Ant wants to play with Kyrie, so there could be some steam there. He's a huge injury risk and a flake, but he would give us somethings that we're sorely missing.

Markkanen is hurt all the time and owed 150M over the next 3 years. I don't see that ending well.

No chance at both of them. We'd have to send out 90M in matching contracts.

I want nothing to do with Ja. I wouldn’t have even wanted him when he could play a little.

Personally, I want nothing to do with Ja either. Curious on your guys thoughts, is there enough talent left in Tyus Jones to be of value to the Wolves. I can see his one/two year stints on one year contracts didn't demonstrate what he was hoping, but ? ? ? I would think the price would be minimal

As a back-up PG for the minimum, I guess.
