The guy Miami gave up next years third and fourth round picks for.

Dolphins third-round WR Leonte Carroo could begin the season as a gameday inactive.

Carroo is locked into a roster spot, but he looks to be behind veteran Griff Whalen on the depth chart. With fellow rookie Jakeem Grant an important contributor on special teams, Carroo would likely be the odd man out on gameday. The rookie is extremely talented, but his path to redraft relevance is a long one.

Nope, I'm pulling a Kapernick. Trump is a racist.

Nope, I'm pulling a Kapernick. Trump is a racist.

Making a claim like that as if you know it is IMO real over the top. His enemies will try to portray his words and actions as racist, but if that were really true he wouldn't have nearly the support that he does IMO.
At one time I who am mostly white with a little native and Asian ancestry had a best friend who was black. Once I said to him "I'm not racist, but I'm not stupid. I'm not going to walk the streets of N. Mpls at night." He replied to me "Neither would I". People could try to twist that into us being racist.

Lynn G. -> RE: Other NFL News (9/2/2016 1:22:35 PM)

If that was the type of thing that came out of Trump's mouth I would agree that it doesn't indicate racism.

Unfortunately, that isn't the type of stuff that comes out of his mouth.

kgdabom -> RE: Other NFL News (9/5/2016 7:53:08 AM)

The Vikings are happy with the trade for Bradford. The Eagles are happy getting a first round pick in the 2017 draft and probably a 3rd round pick in the 2018 draft. The happiest team regarding the Vikings/Eagles trade is the Cleveland Browns who hold next years Eagles draft pick.

6. Cleveland is playing for DeShaun Watson—and the next DeShaun Watson. The Browns, in shipping cornerback Justin Gilbert to Pittsburgh for a 2018 sixth-round pick, now are officially 0-for-6 on first-round picks between 2011 and 2014. But looking ahead, Cleveland has its own first-round pick and Philadelphia’s first-round pick, plus Tennessee’s two and its own two. Theoretically, that could easily give the Browns four picks in the top 40 next April, plus three picks in the first two rounds in 2018. If the Browns don’t get the top pick next year (and there are overwhelming favorites on the Peter King Big Board), they’ll have enough ammo to move up for Clemson quarterback DeShaun Watson, or be in position to draft UCLA quarterback Josh Rosen (or some other top passer) in the 2018 draft.

Yes. The old league flamed out years ago but they started a new one.

Not a surprise to me. I thought there was a very good chance that kneeling would go viral.

Opening Sunday will be interesting. How many players? How many fans?

Didn't know that. I though they went and played overseas in between World Cups.

Nice schedule set up for the Packers. Before Teddy got hurt the game in Minnesota was projected as the only game they wouldn't be favored in.

I see an opposing soccer team played the anthem before the players came out and she wasn't happy about it.

You would think she would be happy not having to put up with the National Anthem. Maybe she was mad that everyone would miss her 'look at me' moment.

Trekgeekscott -> RE: Other NFL News (9/8/2016 9:08:11 AM)

By making a big deal of it, positive or negative you give credence to the action.

I don't care if Colin Kaepernick kneels, lays down, does a handstand, dances a polka, or sits etc. I am not going to make a big deal out of it.

Do you think it's about not having to put up with the National Anthem? Why the outrage over a guy who wants our society's culture changed for the better? Maybe it hits a nerve with 'Murica?

OMG David. Every person in the world wants their society changed for the better. Nobody is against anybody for wanting our society changed for the better. It's just that this one individual couldn't possibly be more wrong. He should be celebrating that we live in such an anti racist country. We as a country have taken incredibly strong stands against racism. It will always exist despite the USA's strong efforts to eradicate it.

I think he is just another guy who doesn't want to bring up the self inflicted problems that these communities have(and if he has, I will admit I am wrong about him). He's taking the easy road.

JC said it best. Police brutality and bias, while evident, doesn't make the Top 5 in problems inner city communities have.

If white people were getting harassed, shot by police, discriminated against in hiring and housing the way minorities are now and made a stink about it - the group in power could say "Hey! Until you stop all this pedophilia and mass shootings we're not going to listen to your other, less significant problems."
