Those individuals do not suffer from the kind of “R” word I’m pissed about… Antivaxxers and “ my rights” people are literally suffering from a mental handicap of their own making… The ones you chastise me about, not at all.. I understand that it is an offensive stereotype, from the dark ages, but IMO the people I apply it to.. deserve it. It’s more contagious than chicken pox, and damages every major organ system in your body.. It can cripple you for life, kill unvaccinated people, and is especially dangerous for children, who CANNOT be vaccinated, at this time because they are still in trial phase for children under 12 years of age.. To me, that kind of irresponsible behavior is founded in sheer stupidity. Thanks Dan.

Someone I know was telling me about his doctor or a doctor he knows (?). Doc said he and all the docs he knows have had it with the unvaccinated. They come in sick after testing positive for COVID looking for magic treatment. Docs say nope, no magic and send them home saying if things are worse then contact the doc for a prescription to some drug. The lung technicians swear out loud at the imbeciles. ICU is 85% capacity... all the beds are taken by the unvaccinated except one by a 90 year old who was. So good on the docs!

Also, these are the negative effects of Covid that we know about. There are likely to be even more negative consequences in the long term that we still have not discovered. I don't see any justifiable reason for not getting vaccinated except for some very narrow potentially medical exceptions.

Studies are just scratching the surface on the long term affects of surviving covid. Turns out that little spiked protein does an enormous amount of damage while it's in the human body.

Unvaccinated, the average person infects 5-8 people. That's what R=5 to R=8 means (reproductive number). For Delta strain ONLY, early reports suggested that vaccinated people had similar viral loads, which suggested that they might transmit the virus at a similar rate, however, even those reports had the virus clearing faster. And the study had some other issues, like a cutoff for people with low viral counts, which sort of guarantees that the viral counts will be similar, and it wasn't randomized. But a big study just came out of England in the last couple days, randomized, and showed vaccinated people had markedly lower viral counts. Core take away: Vaccination almost certainly cuts the chances you spread the Delta strain.

Wow, I didn’t know there was so many virologist experts on this forum. How do you test for the Delta variant and the mass of mutations coming behind it? How many vaccines will it take for each rapidly evolving iteration? Moderna is up to shot #3 now. Did the Johnson & Johnson vaccine have any side effects? What are all the sources for your information on the effectiveness of the vaccine? Is it your opinion or is it truly science backed? The scientific community is not entirely onboard on either side. What other resources are available? Are your facts based on a bias? A friend of a friend told me. I got it from the news. I am all knowing. How effective is the testing apparatus for COVID? Any false positives? What happened to Influenza cases? Is the information presented to you pre-filtered in many circumstances? What does the media do to people with different viewpoints? Do they sensor them? If you think they don’t, you are a lamb to the slaughter. Why do you think so many people are anti-vaxxers? Don’t be lazy and say they are dumb. There is probably a lot more to that answer than you think if you are willing to dig. Are you swayed from groupthink? Or do you merely succumb because it’s the easier path for you? I won’t be confrontational, and I will fall in line because Joe Blow said so. This is not going away and it’s bigger than football. Go Vikes!
