Wish you could draft strictly on that stat…

What is the most pass attempts in an NFL game?
Drew Bledsoe has made the most pass attempts in a game, with 70 attempts against the Vikings on November 13, 1994.

Who won that game?

Those were the dog days of ZERO pass rush... I believe I remember that game.
70 passes and ZERO holding calls.
Pats won.

https://www.pff.com/news/draft-most-least-improved-team-position-units-2021-nfl-draft

PFF thinks the Vikings OL is the most improved position group in the league

We got super lucky getting Darrisaw at 23. Mainly do to:

4. LAS VEGAS RAIDERS OFFENSIVE LINE

Alex Leatherwood could end up being a productive player in the NFL, but the Raiders could have gotten him in the second or even third round after taking more of a sure thing in the first round — such as tackle Christian Darrisaw.

Leatherwood’s 73.4 pass-blocking grade in 2020 was not good enough for him to be taken this high in the draft. Las Vegas could have even waited for a guy who we’ve already seen play guard at the college level. The team didn’t address the line again until selecting Jimmy Morrissey, an undersized center, in the seventh round. The Raiders lost a lot of players on the line and didn’t replace them with valuable picks.

Jon gruden will never win more than 8 games. I said that when he was first hired and I’ll say it again now that there’s a 17th game.

Maybe you mean never win more than 8 games again. i'm pretty sure he has done it before. For future seasons I would take you up on a bet for it.

With the Raiders.

I'm not a believer of The Chazz Man. He just doesn't display Kenricks like lateral agility to make up for his slight size. He's going to get pushed around. Be flicked off by larger QB's.

Hi dude, wie Gehts?

If you're talking about me, gut danke. If not, I'm still good.
Don't live in Wyoming so not sure if you mean me or someone
else.

I did mean you.

I honestly thought you lived in big sky country..
[;)]

At least you thought about me, thanks. [:D] I'd probably be better off
there. From what I understand they still have trees up there. Last year
the largest single forest fire in California history burned up most of the
area I've spent camping and fishing in for years. Hopefully the Vikings
will cheer me up with a Super bowl win.

David, would you still feel the same way if the Raiders acquired Aaron Rodgers ?

Considering what they would have to give up to acquire Rodgers I would say yes - I would still feel the same way.

Bill Johanesen -> RE: General Vikes Talk (5/22/2021 11:57:29 AM)

Throw in Bernardo Harris, David Boston, and 'Bisi', and it's a deal! We wouldn't have to see any more packer slobbering on the Vikings thread for the next year, but I wouldn't take the under on that bet.

JJ against press coverage: yards per route run.

marty -> RE: General Vikes Talk (5/23/2021 12:01:38 AM)

What I have seen with regards to Rodgers to the Raiders, the Raiders throw in Carr, and the Raiders still have plenty of talent.

I think it's more likely Rodgers ends up Denver, and mostly likely stays in GB, but we'll see.

Don't know how significant that stat is but JJ leads it by a mile. If it's a thing, it may limit how defenses can defend him.

In our 2nd game vs the bears they were giving him a huge cushion at the LOS. We could have had 5-7 yard completions to him all day.

Pretty elite company...
Tells me the stat likely has something to it.

Very creative getting off the line and his route running. The other thing that popped from the video was the ball placement. Say what you will about Cousins but he has elite accuracy.

Both things that I'm looking forward to seeing a lot more of this year. IF the OL is improved in pass-pro, this combo could be epic.

Seeing release after release really shows JJ's suddenness off the snap. He made some of those CBs look like they were at the collegiate level. And those throws were nice.

Makes one wonder what the Eagles were thinking when they went with Reagor. Faced with the same decision, I wonder how many teams would have made the same decision.

Makes you kind of understand why the Vikes went so heavy on defense in FA. We are loaded at playmakers on offense with the possible exception of TE (Who knows perhaps Irv Smith breaks out)

Mr Bohummel, yes we better have hit on at least one, and probably two of these OLineman we drafted. That’s my only concern putting it all on rookies coming right in and figuring out the pro game.

Read an article the other day pointing out that Irv's numbers will be much better based on his usage% this past season. Now that he is the #1 TE that shouldn't be a problem.

Dare I say, the regret might almost be "Moss like"?
