Watching the game today, seems like our OL pass blocking was almost impeccable.

KOC has backups prepared on both sides. Brandel played the last quarter. Shelley, Boyd, and Booth

Team is so better prepared and seems organized and focused even on the road when most needed.

Helps to have that veteran HOF cb playing well.

Peterson has to be roiding. How else can his resurgence be explained?

Mostly being a heady veteran.

Bercich was looking at film and noticed that the Bills had 12 guys on defense in OT when the Vikings were 1st down at the 2.

They probably looked real fast on that play

that's not too surprising, Phil. The refs were not very decisive today. A lot of calls were not made on the field. Which is one of the reasons I hate replay. Make the refs accountable on the field in real time.

How do you make the refs acountable without replay?

Sorry to all for being a scared fan. Hopefully everyone's happy enough to forgive me.

You were never "unforgiven"! [8|]

Nice!

I have not given this team its fair due ... I didn't think they could punch and counter-punch with Buff for a full game much less into overtime, especially in Buff.

I was hoping for competitive but that was a 'stick it in your ear' statement game to the league.

They're not pretty. Its going to be a wild ride.

There is no quit in this team. No matter what.

KOC has his issues, but that’s his biggest strengths.

Tha's kind of like the the Dumb and Dumber qoute "I don't have any symptoms" "That's one of the symptons!"

Jost WOW!!
I was down on Kirk, but he made some great throws when we needed it most.
JJ takes a back seat to no one and that catch he made was as good as they get!!
Incredible win!!!!

Considering what was at stake I don't know if I've ever seen a more impressive catch!

The Diggs drop made me smile.

They had several great catches with Diggs having their best.

Then JJ with the 'chew on that baby, Buffalo got smoked on that trade' catch.

[sm=yeahthat.gif]

I think this game cemented JJ as the best WR in the game.

Luck went our way today. Awesome win. I remember when we beat SD in 80s. Missed extra point to tie after great drive. Get onside kick and then hit FG at buzzer. Also, Rashad Hail Mary after Senser to Brown hook and ladder.

Things to clear up:

Joseph
More lobbying for JJ. Getting mugged constantly.
Prevent defense. We might as well rush 2 and drop 9. We get no rush.

Biggest thing on offense. After big plays get us goal to goal, we are slow to get play in and lined up and then we have rushed snap and it is a jail break for defense. No reason not to call TO after JJ gets to 2 in OT. Get everybody back on same page and run Cook to left or play action to someone wide open,

Considering the Vikes history of "we wouldn't have any luck if it weren't for bad luck" I'll take it!

I noticed the Bill's cb's consistently were early with their contact and were grabbing the receivers arms before the ball arrived. Should have been multiple PI's.

The missed BLATANT PIs were a disgrace to the officials.

I didn't realize this: the Vikings have struck a deal with the NFL.

The Vikings' opposition is allowed 4 no calls of pass interference for the 1st 4 quarters, and then the Vikings get a free no call of PI, to be used either late in the game, or in OT.

Yep, but it was more like 4 per quarter for the first 4 quarters. Then we got one I forgot if it was during the Bills FG drive or in OT.

the commentators kept saying 'they're letting them play' - but they sure didn't let hockenson play when he was called in the endzone - i thought that was a bs call, too....

Todd M -> RE: General Vikes Talk (11/14/2022 4:42:20 AM)

Along with all his amazing catches, on Cook's long TD run JJ was instrumental in springing him loose by blocking a defender into another defender.

I remember when they signed him; I was thinking; more hoping it was similar to the Charles Woodson signing for GB. He has shown he still has it.

Was it soon after allowing the catch that wasn't?
I was thinking, "make up call? "

Isn't that a reviewable call, or used to be?
Seems to me they reviewed it against us in the NFCCG v. NO and I've seen a few w/ GB

Ricky J -> RE: General Vikes Talk (11/14/2022 8:23:41 AM)

Im not too fimilar with these kind of stats but it sounds cool.
Actually sounds like Kirk ought to be throwing more catchable balls.
The one he threw on 4th/18 if it was 2 feet lower that play would of been all about Kirk

@NextGenStats
Justin Jefferson was responsible for nine receptions with a sub-50% completion probability, the most in a game by any receiver in the NGS era. No other player has had more than six

From Charch:

Greatest game in the history of Vikings receivers?
- Moss at Lambeau.
- Moss on Thanksgiving.
- AC vs SF in playoffs.
- Justin Jefferson today.

Hard to argue

Yeah, ran through Cris Carter, Rashad, Sammy White. For direct effect, yeah.

Not sure which games you would be referring to.

The catch Rashad made against Cleveland to put us in the playoffs is as big as any in Viking history.

I had a buddy who was at the game with his dad and his dad said it was as loud as he'd ever heard Met stadium. He said the stadium actually felt like it was rocking.

That is my earliest memory as a Vikings fan.

I distinctly remember my dad (a man not prone to showing emotion) jumping off the couch and the whole family screaming as Rashad reached back and hauled that pass in.

There is also the Minnesota Miracle with Diggs. Even if that had been his only catch, it impacted the entire game.

Nice try. That's why I didn't list any, after thinking about what great games the most likely suspects may have had.

Subsequently, Rashad's catch was mentioned and I brought up the Minn Miracle. More of the single catch variety.

Hard to review when it wasn't caught until after next play.

Caught by whom? Do not the Vikes have a review team - or whatever it's called? I don't know all the ins-and-outs but certainly they are not dependent on a network for a look, are they?
