This damn team definitely has pure guts! I just wish we could get a game where they don't meander about for 2 quarters.

It looked very clear to me Cousins was stuffed. Not sure what you're seeing if you think differently.

I agree. Cousins doesn't seem like a good qb sneak guy.

So many plays that were crucial. The Dalvin drop before the sneak looked like a TD. Just had to beat one guy from 2 yard line.

Usually we get a camera angle right down the goal line and you can tell if ball is touching line or not. Maybe JJ was in the way of that camera because he came running into the picture from that side.

You know how easy it would be to put Geo Trackers on the ball (each end) and use that in the stadium (first down markers and goal line)....(then you don't need camera angles except if a knee or elbow touches).

Same thing in baseball. Geo Track the basball and every uniform, the shoulders and knees of the uniform. and the plate.

I didn't realize this: the Vikings have struck a deal with the NFL.

The Vikings' opposition is allowed 4 no calls of pass interference for the 1st 4 quarters, and then the Vikings get a free no call of PI, to be used either late in the game, or in OT.

Yep, but it was more like 4 per quarter for the first 4 quarters. Then we got one I forgot if it was during the Bills FG drive or in OT.

the commentators kept saying 'they're letting them play' - but they sure didn't let hockenson play when he was called in the endzone - i thought that was a bs call, too....

I thought the Hock call was correct - and he probably saved an INT by committing the penalty.

I thought so too. There was one angle where it looked like the ball was a clear half yard short when he was down.

I think more than anything Brabury isn't a good "sneak center". He's not going to win the push at the LoS ever.

No doubt that was correct! He was trying to interfere! I didn't like how he was held down on another similar pass though.

I had no problem with that call either. The problem I had was JJ being mugged and the CB covering him having a handful of shirt on every play without even an illegal contact call.....

Bercich was looking at film and noticed that the Bills had 12 guys on defense in OT when the Vikings were 1st down at the 2.

They probably looked real fast on that play

o'connell mentioned a play where they had 12 men during his presser....

Isn't that a reviewable call, or used to be?
Seems to me they reviewed it against us in the NFCCG v. NO and I've seen a few w/ GB

Hard to review when it wasn't caught until after next play.

Seeing it live I was pretty sure he didn't catch it. The NFL should have had somebody see that too.

There was two officials on the sidelines front and back looking right at it. It's possible it looked good from both angles but not probable to wear a look wouldn't of been warrented, imo

The clock was stopped. It wasn't like the replay officials would have been stopping the clock.

The Replay officials have one job in these situations. If it's a catch, no harm making sure.

Officials who make egregious mistakes need to be fined. Suspended for a week. There are judgement calls that are just part of the game. This was a blatant error by people in a booth with all kinds of angles to look at. I think they could have buzzed down for 12 men also.

Huge error - I can't say I disagree with you, either

Man, and Im a sneak guy, too. Safe, straight ahead, highly successful - or should be

Bill Johanesen -> RE: General Vikes Talk (11/14/2022 11:38:22 AM)

Hock was essentially the defender on that EZ pass and he interfered.
Cousins looked pretty clearly to be down (his humerus so elbow-shoulder) and the ball could be seen behind the white line.

Holding on both sides, it's just that there was less of it on our side because Minny defenders were not close to the receivers.

Booth was thrown into the fire and was burned.

No question for me on this one. I actually won a 2 leg parley with GB and Det. Too bad I didn't have the stones to lay more than a couple bucks

Bill Johanesen -> RE: General Vikes Talk (11/14/2022 11:41:06 AM)

And KOC should make it job #1 to work on whatever to ensure the damn ball is snapped before the play clock runs out. He could have used a challenge with that 19 yard sideline pass that (I think) Davis did not catch.

Can a team review that under 2 min. What's the rule on that now?

That used to be a time when a TO was called to give replay a min to look again

Game Ball to Greg Joseph...

I said this live on game day thread as it happened... Missing the PAT forced Vikes to play much more aggressive, and lead to the crazy ending.

Plus he then made the game winner from same spot on field...

-----

NOW today go out and find a kicker that can make his kicks, he is a liability in playoffs

Todd M -> RE: General Vikes Talk (11/14/2022 11:55:42 AM)

Under 2 minutes and OT reviews can only come from officials.

They blew it big time.

We overcame bad officiating. Period

Ya, I didn't have a problem with the PI on Hawk. I did have a problem with all the jersey grabbing the bills got away with including the play right after the PI.

But I agree with KOC getting the call in quicker. I watched one where his verbiage just went on and on...there wasn't much clock left by the time Cousins spit it out in the huddle.

I used to laugh at QB's wearing wrist bands thinking they were of the slow but I guess it speeds things up where the coach just says "19" and the QB just references the play.

That jersey grabbing was on every route Jefferson ran. Also on a lot of the routes the other receivers ran.

that surprises me...i saw it as mutual bumping at the catch of the ball...nothing....
