Daniel Lee Young -> RE: General Vikes Talk (11/19/2022 12:19:59 PM)

I don’t know how tomorrow will go.. I’d love to see a Vikings blowout of the cowgirls, but we never get the easy shit…

55 years of being let down/ heart stomped and embarrassed in really big games, does that.

Game day is PTSD TRIGGER DAY, for me.

marty -> RE: General Vikes Talk (11/19/2022 12:25:41 PM)

I hope you don't have any heart trouble with this one Danno, I think we're in for another whacky thriller, with the Vikings winning again.

marty -> RE: General Vikes Talk (11/19/2022 12:26:39 PM)

Same score as last week, and in OT as well.

I understand completely Dan!!!

My prediction: Vikings get the game winning TD and XP with 2 minutes to go. Dallas drives and Dak tries to exploit Booth and Booth gets the gamewinning INT.

i like your scenario...i would add that booth will get either a taunting, a personal foul penalty, or both...and, he'll get a game ball from o'connell....

joejitsu -> RE: General Vikes Talk (11/19/2022 4:06:22 PM)

I’m going to go out on a limb and say we win by 10 or more. I just think that we are finally going to see a game where all three facets of the team are hitting on all 8 cylinders.

joejitsu -> RE: General Vikes Talk (11/19/2022 4:07:42 PM)

Geez! Notre Dame is putting a beating on Boston College!

bstinger -> RE: General Vikes Talk (11/19/2022 4:49:19 PM)

CB weakness scares me tomorrow as does Parsons and their pass rush.

If we overcome those 2 obstacles we should win, but its a big if.

Either way, I'm not going to lose my shit if we lose.

A big running day from Cook and Madison would be huge to control the clock and negate the importance of the pass rush.

21-17 Vikes!

SKOL Bitches!

.
.
over the last 20 years, in games where the home underdog has a winning percentage of 88% or higher, the home underdog's
record against the spread is 37-22....

playing games that start at 12noon, kirk cousins is 46-34 against the spread....

playing games that start later than 12noon, kirk cousins is 20-30 against the spread....

when playing against teams with a winning record, dak prescott beats the spread 38% of the time....

That probably explains why the line is where it is.

52% of the bets are on the vikings....

79% of the money is on the cowboys....

more people are betting on the vikings, but the big-money bets are on the cowboys....

Todd M -> RE: General Vikes Talk (11/20/2022 11:26:08 AM)

Suh. I'll have to pretend the chemistry wouldn't have worked here bc we had the money and could have used the player.

We literally did not have the $2 million to sign Suh.

PFF for Suh:

2021: 49.4
2020: 61.8
2019: 69.6
2018: 77.2
2017: 85.6
2016: 83.9
2015: 82.3

No big loss in all likelihood.

Phil Riewer -> RE: General Vikes Talk (11/20/2022 12:19:13 PM)

Indy still able to run with both in. Indy looks good and will give the Eagles a challenge today

They just recently freed up 1.5 off O'Niel's contract.

That got us up to 2 and change.

Not as of today per OverTheCap and SpotTrac, and I presume their figures are close to what they were a couple of days ago. Maybe the O'Neil money went to Shelley last week.

Todd M -> RE: General Vikes Talk (11/20/2022 1:15:25 PM)

Chicago...Enjoy your RB qb until he blows a tread. Then you'll have nothing.

Todd M -> RE: General Vikes Talk (11/20/2022 1:16:03 PM)

Congrats to CPatt who just set the record for KO returns.

Bill Johanesen -> RE: General Vikes Talk (11/20/2022 2:33:29 PM)

Looked like a few upsets were brewing but the favorites are closing the gaps in the 4th qtr.

Daniel Lee Young -> RE: General Vikes Talk (11/20/2022 2:46:12 PM)

The jets defense is scary good..

Bill Johanesen -> RE: General Vikes Talk (11/20/2022 6:27:44 PM)

I'll break the ice.

Maybe they/we did suffer from a post-Bills letdown. Game of the year, JJ looking invincible.
The D has aged. Period. Dot. We need speed and that-ends-here tackling.
On all three levels.
Cousins sucked but in this game the OL was horrendous.

We have a lot of needs. With less draft capital (and Hock isn't signed) we are going to have to bite the bullet on the contracts. Like last year, which didn't happen.

Then again, we could catch lightning in a bottle! But after being outscored 64-10 (and counting?) against Phil and Dal I, uhh, nevermind.

Bill Johanesen -> RE: General Vikes Talk (11/20/2022 6:42:19 PM)

Darrisaw with another potential concussion is worrisome, first for him.

Richard Neussendorfer -> RE: General Vikes Talk (11/20/2022 7:04:13 PM)

Bill B will have a tough game plan for us. Count on it!
