The game may have been 'swayed' for the Packers to cover, just like it may have been preferred that the Saints cover the spread, or at least make the game with the Bucs close.

Most games the refs are on the up and up, but there may be a game or two every week where a 'sway' is in effect.

marty -> RE: General Vikes Talk (9/19/2022 1:43:54 PM)

Watching entire Packers seasons when I lived in Wisconsin, there always seemed to be a game or 2 that seemed 'swayed' against the Pack, about 6 to 8 games that seemed 'swayed' in their favor, and about 6 to 8 games that seemed well officiated without bias, for a typical season.

Was that Pre Favre? It has been a long time.

marty -> RE: General Vikes Talk (9/19/2022 2:34:12 PM)

I thought with Favre they got even more favoritism with refs, maybe because he is more likeable than Rodgers.

I used to think biased officiating could greatly effect momentum and the outcome, I now believe it slightly effects things. The refs seemed to favor the Pack with the Bears, but had they been neutral, the Packers still very likely win, they just would have had to work a little harder.

marty -> RE: General Vikes Talk (9/19/2022 2:37:48 PM)

I moved to Wisconsin in '94, Favre was the starter at that time. I just moved back to Minnesota this spring.

Did Trey Lance try to break his ankle?

Don't see too many RPO by a NFL QB where the QB ends up running off tackle.....RPO in the NFL is a hand off then a slant normally.

How in the world did we ever beat the Packers?

https://twitter.com/JaredBarsNFL/status/1571671697996283905?s=20&t=-rwIJUuke9qrgq1NFy-d9A

Marty has good reasons for thinking GB will beat us every time.

for good measure: https://twitter.com/P_Shels/status/1571687307496783872?s=20&t=-rwIJUuke9qrgq1NFy-d9A

That was amazing.

2-0 is few and far between this year. If we win tonight I'd put us above Bucs and Giants. Top 5 overall.

Need this win!!!

I watched that game..

The number of “ no calls” that the Puke got was just ridiculous..

Then you must have saw this one, too

https://twitter.com/P_Shels/status/1571670023449772034?s=20&t=qlQJVJAgnlD9JGpbTCjNNQ

<last one for me I promise - but that there are more ;) >

Daniel Lee Young -> RE: General Vikes Talk (9/19/2022 7:12:50 PM)

Yea, I saw that.. I went down that thread… at least 5-6 no calls obvious ones, but I saw packer linemen with hands full of bears defensive jersey all .. night.. long…

Someone needs to step up and call that shit every time or it won’t ever stop..

Ricky J -> RE: General Vikes Talk (9/19/2022 7:32:54 PM)

I think the worst one is the one i saw last, 84 on D not getting off the field as Chi hurried up the snap - no call. AR gets that call every time

Ricky J -> RE: General Vikes Talk (9/19/2022 10:02:13 PM)

Oh my!!!
Two weeks and a visit to both sides of the spectrum ...
Which one is the anomoly?

marty -> RE: General Vikes Talk (9/19/2022 10:07:09 PM)

Truth lies in the middle ?

Wonnum on Smith???

Giving DeVonta Smith the same amount of respect some on here were giving. But I was wrong, Smith is just good, not great. And has just an average passing QB throwing to him.

I love covering fast wrs with de's.

Cousins and Donatell should have to ride a bus back to Minny.

Guys who didn't play bad:

Punter, Kicker, LS, Darrisaw

After this game it's clear we need a better defensive coordinator. And Cousins what more needs to be said?

As the head coach, O'Connell should have told Donatella to be more aggressive after the first series.

After bringing back the gang and extending Cousins if we don't make a deep run in the playoffs we should clean house even after just one year.

Should have never brought back the aging vets or KC.

Super Bowl or bust. I don't care about the playoffs.

David F. -> RE: General Vikes Talk (9/19/2022 10:33:54 PM)

Diggs was right.

Todd M -> RE: General Vikes Talk (9/19/2022 10:35:56 PM)

Way yo take the steam out of the season. At least we can stop pretending we're anything more this year than last. Bottom tier playoff hopeful.

Nice job KOC/Cousins.

Daniel Lee Young -> RE: General Vikes Talk (9/19/2022 10:36:39 PM)

What a Kellen Mond like performance, by Cousins..

I’m starting to Pine for that other “great guy”.. Christian Ponder..

Richard Neussendorfer -> RE: General Vikes Talk (9/19/2022 10:38:50 PM)

Agree that KOC should have went to our DC and told him to cut the crap.

Brad H -> RE: General Vikes Talk (9/19/2022 10:45:05 PM)

Our new coach needs to introduce himself to the rest of the offensive players. Apparently he's unaware that Dalvin Cook plays for the Vikings.

Kirk Cousins was absolutely horrific tonight. Amazing how many bad decisions he made. Unwatchable.
