It is Ingram's subconscious mind trying to show the coaches he is on the wrong side.

I'm sure he is as adept at stepping on Cousins left foot as he is at stepping on Cousins right foot.

Cousins left foot is more likely to get stepped on than his right foot

Depending on which side Ingram is playing.

Possibly. Approximately 3/4 of a right handed QBs dropbacks start with the right foot.

Yet Ingram stepped on Cousins right foot multiple times, while Cleveland never stepped on his left foot once. If you are correct then I imagine Ingram would step on his left foot even more if they flip to the left side.

The problem is, Ingram pulls to his left faster than Cousins can step back.

Its not being on the left or right side because the LG has to pull right as well.

The issue is Cousins being a three-toed sloth.

Frankly, there's only one solution to helping Cousins to drop back faster:

Cousins doesn't have the quickest drop back, but Ingram also has a pretty exaggerated first step back on the pass block.

Ingram played left guard for 4 years at LSU….

Only in a technical sense.

Appeared in 45 games, starting 34 times … Starts came at left guard (22) and right guard (12)

Minnesota Vikings pass-rusher Danielle Hunter is planning to hold out from the team's mandatory minicamp this week as questions persist about his future with the team, a source confirmed Monday.

Hunter, 28, is entering the final year of a contract he originally signed in 2018. A renegotiation last year moved a portion of his future compensation up to 2022, leaving him with a deal that calls for him to earn a base salary of $4.9 million in 2023 with weekly roster bonuses that could total $500,000.

Now official: With no last-minute trade materializing, the #Vikings are releasing four-time Pro Bowl RB Dalvin Cook, who will be free to sign with any team later today.

Rich Eisen@richeisen
I honestly can’t believe the running back position has reached the point where a 1k rusher 4 straight years with 52 touchdowns gets released at age 27.

You ball out in your next spot, @dalvincook

[sm=dillydilly.jpg][sm=ditto.gif]

Not entirely true....overpaid and wouldn't restructure.

Look at Mattison's production when Cook was injured and we gave him a 2/7 million contract....tells you how much Cook is overpaid; by about double.

I just wish him the best in his next stop. I was in no means saying we shouldn't have released him.

Has any previous guard stepped on Kirk's toes ?

Not that I'm aware of.

sure, he started on the right side, but after breaking the right ankles of several quarterbacks, they moved him permanently to the left...where he thrived - I hope....

Not sure if they record them kind of stats that we're privy to.

I don't care if he can or not. he can come up with his own TD dance. As long as he is running good routes, catching the ball and helping this team win.

He can dance the Charleston for all I care. As long as he's making a big contribution to us winning, I'll be fine.

Yannick Ngakoue - $13mm/'22...12 sacks
justin houston - $3.5mm/'22...9.5 sacks

i love hunter, but i'm starting to think that trading him and signing both of these guys to one-year deals is the intelligent move....

Came across then watched the 20 minute highlight of the Vikings/Bills game.

Call last years failure what it is but I had giant feels reliving that game. Several times last year paid off some huge endorphins. I'm grateful for that.

last season was absolutely remarkable...even in real-time, while watching the bills' game, when we failed to score and gave them the ball on their 1/2 yard line with 40 seconds left - i still thought we'd win it - the way we lined up, i just knew that we wouldn't let them out of the endzone....

All of it means jack when you lose at home to the Giants and you lose to all the big boys by wide margins.

Two at best.

It's the most fun we've had in a long time. If we ain't gonna win the big one what diff does it make when you lose?

I respect your decision to hate every season we've ever had but some of us, or maybe only me, can still enjoy the process of we choose

Its possible to enjoy close wins AND understand we have no shot at a Super Bowl. 11 stars.

marty -> RE: General Vikes Talk (6/20/2023 10:28:52 AM)

It's possible to enjoy close regular season wins, and realize it is probably about a 1% chance, or less that the Vikings win the Super Bowl.

-8 Stars.

Starring posts is stupid.

Todd M -> RE: General Vikes Talk (6/21/2023 6:55:31 AM)

The only stupid thing about starring a post is that y'all tanked half the system in place I.E., it originally kept score. Some people were in the red hard fairly quickly. Some people cried about it. Should have left it or tanked the whole thing.
