ORIGINAL: twinsfan A nice series win in Texas. Some bad news though. It appears that Luke Keaschall’s rookie season is over. Keaschall, who suffered a sprained left thumb on a slide in the Twins’ win on Tuesday night against the Rangers at Globe Life Field, will likely need surgery to repair the injury and is not expected to play again in 2025. He will receive a follow-up examination next week, but the most likely outcome for him is that he will undergo surgery. “Obviously incredibly disappointing to see his season end like that,” said manager Rocco Baldelli. “I talked to him yesterday for a while after the game. He’s obviously down because he wanted to have a really productive offseason. He had a lot of thoughts and a lot of intentions. I know him, and he was going to carry those out. But he also knows that he’s just going to have to take care of business and get his hand healthy and get to work on the baseball side of things after that.” so he misses five meaningless games at the end of the season. Whooop dee dooooo Let's get through these last three games so we can get to the offseason where the ownership and front office can waste yet another winter doing little to improve the team, gutting it further to dump salary and making us a very likly bottom dweller for years to come. they have an entire bullpen to rebuild. I have a sense that Wallner and Larnach and Pablo will all be traded. We have a few outfielders ready or close to ready for the major leagues. Gonzalez, Rodriguez, Jenkins and possibly Fedko are all poised to join the Major league roster next year.
