ORIGINAL: Jeff Jesser That guy is really lighting it up over in the Pacific Northwest [&:] 2 TD's and 2 picks while the bust of the century in Minny has 2 and 3 and is 22 YO's. bust of the century? We've already determined that after just two games, one of which he engineered a bigtime comeback and won? A Little soon for that, methinks. I guess my sarcasm wasn't apparent. I think he was jabbing at Brad H more than countering you....lol I was jabbing at the term bust of the century. I'll admit that I didn't read back over several posts to get all the context etc when I responded here. So Sorry I missed the sarcasm. But I am certain from the history of this place that someone did already give up on JJ McCarthy. Im not giving up but I have my concerns. He's missing more time again. Hopefully it doesn't become a normal thing. The guy needs a lot of work and sitting isn't going to be the answer Speaking of concerns, mine are not much greater than they were two months ago just like with any rookie QB. But JJM certainly has not done much to alleviate those concerns. That's due in part in not believing KOC is some sort of a QB guru, a QB whisperer. Dobbs went the opposite way. Hall was a bust here. Cousins was already good in terms of putting up stats. Granted he may have brought out the best in Darnold. Until he didn't. KOC damn sure has not been a guru when it comes to pressure games, drives, plays. Both Cousins and Darnold choked big time. So I see JJM as a typical QB who has played just two games. One difference is I had hope for a 1 % chance he plays great right from week one, he busts down the rookie wall, and he leads the team to the playoffs. A Hail Mary/Onside Kick recovered hope at best.
