Yurov was in and Nick Foligno was out. I like that lineup a lot better.

Of course Hartman nets a pair after we bad mouthed him.

Kirill and Boldy hitting the 40 goal mark last night making for a Wild milestone and clinching their playoff spot was just what we needed. Now we need them both to play up to that level in the playoffs. Team looked pretty good last night and played a much better game than we have seen in a while. Time to ramp up for Dallas and make a run.

Boldy has been incredible. I scratched my head at the time but BG's 2 (no pun intended) boldest moves:

1. Extending Boldy so early - seemed way to soon to tell but he nailed it and that dude is the lowest paid superstar in sports
2. Giving up that much for Hughes - collectively those 4 assets are not coming close to Quinn's impact

Hartman gave us the full "Hartman experience" last night. 2 goals, impact, almost stupid penalties but got away with a couple, gave up a goal being lazy ect/ect

Yup, Hartzy is ramping up for the playoffs. [:D]

Weird morning as I get the Wild at 10 AM. I'm curious how they come out after clinching.

With Ottawa playing for their playoffs life I suspect they come out looking a bit slow and not quite ready.....with that said they will probably come out like gangbusters. [:D]

stfrank -> RE: Wild 2025-26 Season (4/4/2026 12:37:26 PM)

There's our guy Hartzy again. [:D]

2-0 good guys after 1.

Jeff Jesser -> RE: Wild 2025-26 Season (4/4/2026 12:50:13 PM)

Yup. It was sloppy at first, but we grew into the period. That Zuc pass to Hartman goal was beautiful all the way around. That said, Zuc continuing to pass when he should shoot drives me nuts. That was the right play but he had 2 others earlier that he tried to force to KK.

Jeff Jesser -> RE: Wild 2025-26 Season (4/4/2026 1:19:35 PM)

Not sure how this ends but we are absolutely destroying them on the forecheck. Especially effective down low and on the boards.

stfrank -> RE: Wild 2025-26 Season (4/4/2026 1:25:22 PM)

The Foligno's and McCarron are beasts for a 4th line and the Russian line isn't far behind them on the forecheck. I have a feeling Nick and Brink will be swapping spots come playoff time.

stfrank -> RE: Wild 2025-26 Season (4/4/2026 1:36:06 PM)

Hartzy get's another....he better save some for Dallas.

Jeff Jesser -> RE: Wild 2025-26 Season (4/5/2026 12:20:27 PM)

OOOOOOFFF, GUS, can't have that buddy [>:]

Jeff Jesser -> RE: Wild 2025-26 Season (4/5/2026 1:39:55 PM)

Much better 2nd. The only chances they've had are Gus brain farts. When we are rolling offensively, we are really fun to watch. They booed their Wings off the ice [:D]

Jeff Jesser -> RE: Wild 2025-26 Season (4/5/2026 2:55:12 PM)

What a game if you are a neutral. We own the 2nd with 4 goals and head into the 3rd with a 4-1 lead in Detroit. About halfway through the period, Gus gives up his 2nd super soft goal and the momentum shifts completely their way. Of course, it's Kane who ties it with about 3 to go but then goes full Hartman and takes a ridiculous penalty and KK one times a blast right over Talbots shoulder for the winner. Hatty for KK.

Not sure if it was just an off day for Hughes or he's just wearing down but he was pretty awful today by his standards. There had to be about 4-5 times he just fell down with nobody around him. The first time I thought it must be bad ice but nobody else was having the same issue.

Jeff Jesser -> RE: Wild 2025-26 Season (4/5/2026 2:59:04 PM)

I think we all said that Tarasenko was a pretty good signing but he netted his 22nd today. I have been really impressed that he still has it.

43 and counting for KK
41 for Boldy
22 for Tar and Hartman

Kinda crazy that BG has accumulated this much firepower.

Tarasenko still has that ability to wire the puck through a puck and a half sized opening. Nice to have that ability to snipe on the third line.

It was a fun game to watch today. We had it on for 2 periods and then ate dinner....it was tied at 4 when we turned it back on. Got a good ending at least....must have went into the prevent the win PK mode for the 3rd period? Another 2 points and only 2 points shy of Dallas so could still get home ice.

Actually, that would be a normal guess but no. Gus gave up a softie and we seemed to panic. It was weird but, to me at least, it was shaky goaltending that went through the team. it was, literal, about a 10-minute stretch and that was it.

We end up beating 2 desperate teams in regulation. We having seen that in a long time.

Very entertaining game.....plenty of snipes from KK, Boldy, and Tara Not So Stinko plus Hughes had a incredible breakaway w/o the finish.

As we speculated, #mnwild have signed Viking Gustafsson Nyberg to a two-year deal ($975K cap hit). He’ll burn the first year (RFA on July 1, 2027). He will join the team this morning in Dallas. He is not eligible for the playoffs but can play any of the final 4 games

TJSweens -> RE: Wild 2025-26 Season (4/9/2026 4:28:15 PM)

Huge game tonight. A regulation win ties us with Dallas.

I love the quote from Judd the other day after the Seattle win.

Seattle reminded me of the Wild of yesteryear........a good team w/o enough star power.

stfrank -> RE: Wild 2025-26 Season (4/10/2026 6:43:55 AM)

Wild out played Dallas most of the game, but were let down by weak goaltending from Gus. If we are going anywhere in the playoffs we need much better from Gus or Wally if Hynes gives him a chance before it's too late. Petry needs to go, he is just brutal out there and our 3rd pair with him and Middleton were not good at all. Hope we get Bogo back soon or else give Hunt some time, he can't get beat any worse than Petry. All in all last nights game was a heck of a game to watch and the up coming series should be fun.

TJSweens -> RE: Wild 2025-26 Season (4/10/2026 6:57:20 AM)

Gus was straight up brutal. If that's the level of goal tending we get, it will be another one and done.

Last night was playoff intensity. The Wild were getting the better of the play. The PP was lethal. We just need more from the back end.
