Who?

Karl Juhnke -> RE: General Twins Talk (1/2/2026 2:31:05 PM)

A .250 hitter with no power. Now we’re cooking.

Prove it. Until then, *yawn*.

A 5 non-tool player if ever there was one.

Yep. Stop feeding us bullshit. Actions speak louder than words.

Until then it's all just bullshit.

Who?

Played 140 games last season. Healthy and consistent. Good acquisition.

He's a below average major league hitter who can't field. In other words, right up the Twins alley.

Most important stat: He will make $820K for the year.

Let me update my comment...

He's a below average major league hitter who can't field and is ultra cheap. In other words, right up the Twins alley.

It's not easy to find an everyday position player on the free agent market for under $1 million.

It's a quintesential Twinsy acquisition to be sure. A cheap roster spot filler, who if by some miracle amounts to anything will be hastily dealt at the deadline for a 19 year old in rookie ball with 'nasty stuff' 'a live arm' and 'tons of potential', and a 7.00 ERA

No it's not.

If your goal is a cheap payroll and not winning games.

They also signed Orlando Arcia to a minor league contract.

Wagaman also has options....so he could be the backup for Lewis if needed. Wagaman can hit LH.

He murders LH pitching. He'll make a great platoon partner with Larnach and/or Wallner.

Arcia is 31 so that isn't terrible.

Hopefully we see some of Culpepper this year.

David Levine -> RE: General Twins Talk (1/9/2026 3:17:37 PM)

Max Kepler has been suspended for 80 games after the veteran outfielder tested positive for the performance-enhancing drug Epitrenbolone, Major League Baseball announced on Friday.

Kepler, 32, is a free agent. In 2025, he played 127 games in his lone season with the Philadelphia Phillies, which came after a decade with the Minnesota Twins following his debut in 2015. The lefty-swinging corner outfielder has slashed .235/.316/.425 during his career with 179 homers. Much of that production came against right-handed pitching.

Kepler is coming off a down season with the Phillies, in which he hit just .216/.300/.391 with 18 homers. His OPS+ of 88 was the lowest of his career.

And just think how much worse it could have been if he wasn't juicing.

He's not expected to attend Twins games either. Except from the opposing dugout.

Looks like Ryam and the Twins are going all the way to an arbitration hearing over a measly $500K. Apparently the Twins consider $6.35M to be a bridge to far for an all star starting pitcher.

Sounds like we have another Kyle Lohse malcontent on our hands.

The Twins added some more infield depth on Wednesday when they claimed Vidal Bruján off waivers from the Braves.

Bruján has appeared at every position but catcher in his Major League career, but the large majority of his starts have come in the middle infield. He turns 28 next month.

A former top-50 overall prospect in the Rays organization, Bruján is a lifetime .199/.267/.276 hitter in 645 Major League plate appearances. He hit .253/.305/.310 last year, spending time with the Cubs, Orioles, and Braves.
