Bruce Johnson -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (1/8/2014 6:41:17 AM)

The Chargers could be a sneaky team, here. They already beat the Broncos once in Denver this year and Denver is not thrilled to have to play them a third time. If they get past the Broncos, I heard that the Patriots are especially susceptible to the run with their injuries. The Colts will not present much of a threat with their running attack, but the Chargers are the one team in the AFC who do. It seems that it's not too unusual for a team with a lower seed to get hot in the playoffs. I love NFL because the balance of power is spread so well. For example, even the lowly Vikings whipped the NFC East champions, Eagles. Last weeks games were especially competitive with all of them, except the Cincy- Charger game going down to the wire. I doubt that we will duplicate that this coming weekend. The higher seeds do enjoy having the extra week off and they are playing at home, so the potential is there for a blowout or two. (especially the Patriots and the Seahawks winning) Nevertheless, I'm really looking forward to the games.
