John Defilippo will someday be the head coach of a team that wins the Super Bowl.

marty -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (10/27/2018 12:21:28 AM)

Kyle Sloter will be an NFL starter someday, and will be mediocre or better as a starter.

If he starts all 16 games, he will lead his team to 10 wins or better.

Fackers 33 Rams 30

A bye week, the Packers will have realized the key to beating the Rams is stopping Girlie. The Pack have been weak against the run all year, but will rise for one game. The Rams will have too many run plays in the gameplan, and will be frustrated they aren't working. The Pack will get picks late in the game, to win.

If I were in Vegas, I would bet on the Packers to be ahead at halftime, I wouldn't bet them to win the game.

I am guessing the refs will favor the Pack in the 1st half, unless they want an Erin Rodgers comeback where they give the Rams a few calls in the 1st half, then give the Pack all the calls and non-calls in the 2nd half, leading to a likely Pack win, if they make the plays.

Hopefully the Rams roll, I just have a bad feeling about this one. This is the time of year where most undefeated teams crash, someone finds some weaknesses.

Keeping the same predictions, but changed my mind on what to bet.

Had the Rams been favored by 4, then likely heavy betting on the Rams, then you may have gotten what I had said about officiating. But it opened at Rams - 10 1/2, now 9 1/2, bettors are betting the Pack.

So the officiating might favor the Rams getting a big lead at the half, then help the Pack a little in the 2nd half, but hover around a 10 point lead for the Rams, to make bettors nervous on both sides [;)]

The bet to make, is probably New Orleans the 1st half, I think they will lead at half. But I like the Vikings' chances, mostly based on the interviews with the 2 QBs. However, still sticking with the tie, each team getting a FG in OT.

marty -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (10/29/2018 1:29:59 AM)

I was right about:

Packers lead at half
Saints lead at half
Bears win

I was wrong about:

Lions win
Packers win
Vikes/Saints tie

Usually I am around 40%, so 50% that is pretty good for me [;)]

Are you even paying attention to what you write?

marty -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (10/29/2018 10:05:12 AM)

Yes Todd, I pay attention to about 40% of it [;)]

marty -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (11/4/2018 9:47:39 AM)

I am going to post 10 predictions before noon, on the NFL, showing you folks that I am good for 40%. [;)]

I challenge anyone to see if they can make 10 picks before noon, and beat me.

Ian Joseph -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (11/4/2018 10:57:44 AM)

Bears over Bills
Vikings over Lions
Patriots over Packers
Saints over Rams
Chiefs over Browns
Jets over Dolphins
Falcons over Redskins
Cowboys over Titans
Chargers over Seahawks
Texans over Broncos
Steelers over Ravens
Panthers over Bucs

Not that hard to hit 40% or better.

marty -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (11/4/2018 11:09:11 AM)

Thanks for playing Ian, I hope others join in.

Ian Joseph -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (11/4/2018 11:13:05 AM)

Not really playing. Just think your 40% flex is absurd. Its failing in academic standards. Anybody can do it.

marty -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (11/4/2018 11:33:21 AM)

My picks, hoping to get 4 of the best 10:

1) Vikings over Lions
2) Chiefs over Browns
3) Jets over Dolphins
4) Falcons over Redskins
5) Steelers over Ravens
6)Panthers over Bucs
7) Seahawks over Chargers
8) Rams over Saints
9) Patriots over Packers
10) Pittsburgh/Baltimore over

To finish the rest of the games:

11) Bills over Bears
12) Broncos over Texans
13) Titans over Cowboys

Need to consider the spread

Cherry picking 10 games one should get 80% right

Youd think that. But the bar is 40%.

VERY impressive Ian, 10 out of 12. Can I take you with next time I go to Vegas, I will cover your flight ?

7 out of 10, not bad Todd, just as good as my 7 out of 10. You were 1 for 2 on your fails, that's not good [&:]

marty -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (12/2/2018 2:10:43 AM)

It would be karmic justice if Patterson had a record breaking personal best day against his former team, leading to the game being a shootout, where the Pats end up losing the game because of a Patterson fumble in the 4th quarter [:'(][:'(]

[:-][:-]

SKOL !!! [8|]

marty -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (12/2/2018 2:54:20 AM)

It would sure be nice if the Vikes in back to back weeks, beat 2 GOATs, then followed it up by beating a great QB that just turned 30 on November 29, in his house.

Trifecta.

CPAMAN -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (12/6/2018 9:14:14 AM)
