SoMnFan -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (10/31/2010 12:22:56 AM)

I hear ya Dan.
Pats are my second-favorite NFL team.
No one understands the mismatch in coaching this week more than I do.
I guess I'm just (like you say) hoping our skilled players can overcome it all and perform well enough to get us a much-needed win.
I'd really like to see Moss and AD have big days ...
Randy seems to really be trying to fit in and help here, I've never seen him do so much talking and leading, and it's great to see.
It's almost like he came back, and he immediately has seen the dipshits running this offense, and he feels obligated to help them. I'm not kidding.

Thomas O. Eliason -> Sorry Scott, but (10/31/2010 2:42:24 AM)

The Patriots can eat my shit.

John Childress -> RE: Sorry Scott, but (10/31/2010 8:51:46 AM)

and die

When it gets close to gametime and they make an announcement on the starting QB, please make a prediction.

Favre will start.
Brady will have his way with us.
But let's play the game and remember with AD, Moss, and Harvin you never know.

Vikes 45   Cards 20

Frustration taken out on the Red Birds.

Vikingsfan7 -> RE: Sorry Scott, but (11/1/2010 4:41:24 PM)

Vikings-17

Cardinals-21

Yep, I've lost all faith this season.

Prescott -> RE: Sorry Scott, but (11/1/2010 6:04:27 PM)

I need to do about 50 perdictions. One if Favre plays or not. One if Moss is fired or not. One if Childress is fired or not. One if Childress is fired, Moss is gone, and Favre is starting. One if Childress if fired, Moss is still here, and Favre is sitting. One if....

Boy, and I thought this franchise was a circus when Denny Green was running the show.  He makes Chili look like PT Barnum.

Trekgeekscott -> RE: Sorry Scott, but (11/2/2010 10:21:18 AM)

Seriously...I'd rather have Mike Tice as a Head Coach right now.

I'd rather go back to the days of Jerry Burns.

I'd almost be willing to have another go with Denny Green or <cringes as he says it> Les Steckel.

Bud is too old now...But he's still be better than the current bozo.

Or better yet...find a the new Lombardi.

marty -> RE: Sorry Scott, but (11/2/2010 10:28:06 AM)

Just try FRAZIER and then there are several options in the offseason.

Trekgeekscott -> New Coach...PLEASE (11/2/2010 10:30:37 AM)

Frazier would obviously be the Interim guy if they'd just activate their brains and fire the dipshit stupid ****er like they should.

I am just pointing out that I would nearly take ANY previous Viking coach than the current one at this moment.

He's pathetic.

He's earned my ire.  Time for that ****er to go.

Ian Joseph -> RE: New Coach...PLEASE (11/2/2010 10:52:25 AM)

My prediction of the Vikings team being better in December than they were in September is being retracted. Needless to say, so is the Super Bowl one.

John Childress -> RE: New Coach...PLEASE (11/2/2010 11:12:08 AM)

The easy choice would be to hire one of the SB winning coaches laying around.

The smart choice may be to hire a hot, young coordinator

Ian Joseph -> RE: New Coach...PLEASE (11/2/2010 11:16:39 AM)

It all depends on Wilf.

If he is interested in a winning organization and championships now, I think he has to hire one of the available SB coaches.

If he is interested in re-buiulding again like he did with Childress, then he'll probably hire a hot, young coordinator, presumably the guy already on his staff. And perhaps if Wilf did hire Frazier, he may be able to get Dungy in some sort of front office role, although I dont know how he could/would fit with Speilman.

Of course, there is the dark side of the moon scenario, the one where Wilf is no longer interested in owning the Vikings and is ready to sell them to an ownership group that is going to move them to Los Angeles. In that case, it probably doesnt matter who you hire, since the team will probably be conducting a fire sale of its players, spare Peterson and Harvin.

He's got to fire Childress first.  I still haven't seen any indication that he's going to or might anytime soon.

larryboy -> RE: New Coach...PLEASE (11/2/2010 11:19:09 AM)

Sorry, when I hear the words "hot, young", a male is not the first thing that springs to mind.  Maybe for Lynn ...[:'(]

Ian Joseph -> RE: New Coach...PLEASE (11/2/2010 11:20:33 AM)

Childress is gone absent a deep playoff run. A loss on Sunday dooms him much sooner if different reports of Wilf's unhappiness and Childress losing the locker room are true.

John Childress -> RE: New Coach...PLEASE (11/2/2010 11:26:54 AM)

I bet $1 he is back next year

Ian Joseph -> RE: New Coach...PLEASE (11/2/2010 11:27:18 AM)

Thats a bet.

Lars -> RE: New Coach...PLEASE (11/2/2010 12:23:59 PM)

I agree with JC.  Only a complete, massive implosion would send him packing.

Wilf is not going to pay him $10-15MM to go away.

The Lions game might be the make or break for Chilli. Saying you finished 6-3 after a slow start rather than 5-4 sounds a lot better in Chilli's twisted logic, as is 8-8 as opposed to 7-9. Now that he has scapegoat in Moss he can basically say "Wilf I got your guy in Moss and he turned my locker room upside down, I got rid of him and now look how we finished."

With our season on the line the teacher beats the pupil in Philly.

I'd go out on a limb and say that we give Buffalo their only win of the year.
