Thomas O. Eliason -> TOE prediction: (9/8/2011 5:29:10 PM)

Vikes go 19 & 0.

Defense goes from average early, to dominant late. OL gels about midseason... and as a result, Adrian wins the rushing title.

Harvin becomes an unstoppable man/child - the ultimate 3rd down weapon.

Joe Webb responsible for 8 TDs including the one that seals the SB win. Berrian catches 4 all year, shutout through the playoffs.

Entire board proclaims me as the greatest Viking fan ever. I respond with "aw shucks."
!

Yes but Belicheck had this attitude early on, it didn't work in cleveland but it did in NE. McDainels has thee rapport of devising schemes for the highest scoring offense in NFL history, and he did quite well with Cassel as well. I think he understands what it takes, once he learns how to interact better with players and have them respect him he will be a top coach in this league.

I loved it when NFL Network caught him on the sidelines following a false start by the O-line near the goal line on a Thursday night game. He had his line all sitting around him on the sideline following the drive. "We're only trying to WIN A MOTHER**CKING GAME HERE!?!?!?"

lol

And NFL Network didn't bleep it either.

i think most off the great championship coaches have something in common...a seemingly calm, cool, austere and stoic demeanor - win or lose...i love mike tomlin's behavior during a game...he's the epitome of what a game-day head coach should be in my book....

now imagine mcdaniel's tenure with the broncos...racing up and down the sidelines in hysterics like a child desperately in need of 100mg of ritalin and a kick in the teeth...he was embarrassment to watch....

I proclaim Thomas O. Eliason the greatest Vikings fan of all time

Steve Lentz -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (9/11/2011 10:25:03 AM)

Packers and Steelers in the Super Bowl. Packers are the winner.[X(]

Lions will be the biggest surprise. They're building a dynamic team.

joejitsu -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (9/11/2011 6:28:12 PM)

I predict badness on several levels.

Mark Anderson -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (9/13/2011 8:14:02 PM)

Vikes 23   Bucs 17

John Childress -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (9/13/2011 8:16:45 PM)

My prediction

PAIN

Guest -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (9/13/2011 8:29:40 PM)

I predict that McNabb throws for at least 40 yards!

Nate -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (9/13/2011 8:44:38 PM)

Hmm, my optimism balloon has popped.

Bucs 17, Vikes 6

I'm hoping reverse psychology works here and gets us a win.

pdiercks -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (9/14/2011 4:10:59 AM)

Wow alot of peoples attitudes changed after last week. I am surprised people seem surprised that we looked bad. The Chargers did start slow as expected but had enough talent to overcome that and pull out a win. That was a win they needed to have if they expect to go far in the playoffs this year.
I still stick with 4-6 wins. Last week was expected, McNabb is not going to help a whole lot, and we are thin just about everywhere. If we lose 2 of the next three, we need to get Ponder in and see what we might have or if we need to upgrade the position again. There are exeptions, but as we all know you have a great QB or you're really no threat to win it all.

We are a couple injuries away from being a really really bad team.

On the plus side the defense looked better than I thought, Peterson and Greenway are signed, and high draft picks no longer have the huge contracts.

JT2 -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (9/14/2011 7:22:07 PM)

This is the funniest thread.

John Childress -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (9/16/2011 5:36:08 AM)

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (0-1) at Minnesota Vikings (0-1)
In the same imploring voice that Elaine Benes used when she said in the broilingly humid Del Boca Vista apartment of Jerry's parents, "Mrs. Seinfeld, I BEG you, PLEASE turn on the air-conditioning," I urge Donovan McNabb to walk into offensive team meetings and say to coordinator Bill Musgrave: "Coach, PLEASE call some plays for me to throw to the tight ends!" I mean, Kyle Rudolph is an impact player if someone would allow it to happen.

If I wasn't so sure of the opposite I would predict a screen pass to AD.

Vikes 24, Tampa 20

Bill Jandro -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (9/16/2011 4:43:07 PM)

Alot of optimism on this thread. Its looking alot like we wont see are first win until the Carolina game. Cam may even light us up.

On the positive side. we may be the front runners in the Andrew Luck sweepstakes

Bill Jandro -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (9/16/2011 4:50:54 PM)

Vikings 4-12

Arizona
Carolina
Oakland
Denver

Week before the trading deadline we have a fire sale on our aging vets. JA, KW, AW, and net some low to mid round picks. Youth movement is put in place with Luck as the future center piece of the franchise.

I'd like to predict a new open air stadium deal in Arden Hills. But it will be the LA Vikings.

Word on the street is the Colts might consider tanking the season for that.

Montana begat Young
Favre begat Rodgers
Manning begats Luck!

Nate -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (9/16/2011 5:54:55 PM)

Hmm, this crosses more than gender barriers, but can McNabb beget Ponder?

Nate -> RE: Predictions for Next Week (and maybe beyond) (9/16/2011 5:57:54 PM)

Even if we were to "earn", lol, the 1st pick in the draft, would they even select Luck since we have Ponder?
