Per @GoodmanESPN, #Gophers have offered Tenn. St. transfer 6-8 forward MJ Rhett. Told Temple transfer Anthony Lee will aim higher than MN.

ouch!

I saw that...yikes. Dude, you're at Temple. Half the DI schools are higher than you are; let's not get picky now.

Mr. Ed -> RE: Gopher Basketball (Mens) (3/20/2014 12:03:09 PM)

2 B10 schools struggling early in the tourney.

OSU down 3 at the half to Dayton, WIS losing by 6 to American w/8 to go in the first half.

Mr. Ed -> RE: Gopher Basketball (Mens) (3/20/2014 1:26:03 PM)

Dayton beats Ohio St. late, by 1

Dang, there goes my shot at a BILLION dollars [&:]

Dave E -> RE: Gopher Basketball (Mens) (3/20/2014 1:29:41 PM)

You were so close! [:D]

Wisconsin is barely holding on to a 38 point lead, meanwhile...

Pitt is hammering Colorado.

Concerns me,a bout West teams....

Dave E -> RE: Gopher Basketball (Mens) (3/20/2014 1:45:45 PM)

Holy crap, you're not kidding. Thought Pitt would win, but this is silly.

Harvard up on Cinci. Not completely shocking.

SoMnFan -> RE: Gopher Basketball (Mens) (3/20/2014 1:53:36 PM)

Nice of them to put Wiscy in the Bradley Center. [&o]

High seeds get near home-court advantage to boost attendance.

Money-grab by NCAA, as usual.

SoMnFan -> RE: Gopher Basketball (Mens) (3/20/2014 2:27:24 PM)

It's time for a sixteen to beat a one.
That's gonna be fun.

SoMnFan -> RE: Gopher Basketball (Mens) (3/20/2014 2:29:35 PM)

Wondering if the Ohio State result is more of the same B10 over-valuing or simply a nice win for an eleven seed.
Guess we shall see.

I have no idea why I picked them to win 2 rounds. They were inconsistent. And Ross was a jerk. but I overvalued the B10 there, no doubt.

Mr. Ed -> RE: Gopher Basketball (Mens) (3/20/2014 2:41:57 PM)

Tubby a studio guy. How'd that first season at Tech go? [:D]

Sad (and telling) ... Kraft tries to win it all, ends up on floor on last shot ... And every teammate just slowly walks away.
Smaller, less-hyped, low seeds are so much more fun to see succeed.
They care about each other.
The top seeds who have some cohesiveness are the ones that will win.

Jim Frenette -> RE: Gopher Basketball (Mens) (3/20/2014 3:29:00 PM)

And once again we get at least 1 12/5 upset. Harvard beat Cincinnati

TJSweens -> RE: Gopher Basketball (Mens) (3/20/2014 3:31:25 PM)

Rayno called that one.

Not even the CBI takes under .500 teams...heh heh heh

Watching that Ross a-hole the Gophs, then later punk on the NW big guy, showed me how low-life that OSU team was.

And yet i picked them. Shame on me.

Mr. Ed -> RE: Gopher Basketball (Mens) (3/23/2014 3:43:21 PM)

Joey King continues to put points in. The Hollins' duo continues to come up small in this NIT.

King,at the least, helps provide depth next year.

Steve Lentz -> RE: Gopher Basketball (Mens) (3/23/2014 5:10:05 PM)

B10 still has some serious representation.

Austin made a reasonable accounting of himself today. Andre was God awful. Perhaps he should pay closer attention when his girlfriend plays. He might learn something.

Mathiew continues to be an aggravating player. Buries a 3 or makes a big defensive play one second and then turns it over the next 3 times down the floor. It's amazing how often you swing between loving or hating the guy in the span of a minute.

We're gonna be hanging a new banner at Williams Arena. There, I said it, and I mean it!

TJSweens -> RE: Gopher Basketball (Mens) (3/23/2014 8:08:50 PM)

Rachel Banham.
