That gameplan did not work. I think we need to go small with Washington instead of a C.

Hurt plays 31 minutes

Shot the ball

ONCE

twinsfan -> RE: RE:Gopher Basketball (Mens) (1/8/2018 4:23:22 PM)

Ed, are you and I the only ones that watched this game?

I don't know what I saw in Hurt earlier this season. He made a nifty reverse layup and thought we had something. He's the most invisible player I've ever witnessed on a basketball court. Blends right in with the floor.

I fell for the same guy because of the same play.
I was like "hey, who's this guy?"
Turns out no one knew (cept Ed) [:D]and no one needs to know.

3rd allegation

Expulsion recommended

C Ya Lynch

TJSweens -> RE: RE:Gopher Basketball (Mens) (1/10/2018 6:31:24 AM)

Plus a 4th that the woman decided not to pursue with University police. Not to mention a network of 15-18 year old girls, in two cities, spreading the word to stay away from him when he was in high school. Cut this slime loose. Sadly, he will never see prosecution without racking up another victim.

And what about Little "No red flags" Richie?

Some of these kids are just pathetic.
You have so much ahead of you and you just can't play by the rules OF LIFE.
Act more like animals than humans apparently ... Way too much.

Lynn G. -> RE: Gopher Basketball (Mens) (1/11/2018 8:28:50 AM)

I think the fact that Rick Pitino the elder got into so much trouble is actually a factor leading me to believe that Richard Pitino really did NOT have any specific knowledge of any criminal acts that Lynch may be accused of. I'm not talking about rumors from high school, but rather any actual accusations that have come out. Knowing how things went down with his dad, I'm assuming (and maybe I'm giving him too much credit) that Richard Pitino would stay on top of any crap going on off the court.

That said, with a fourth allegation now being revealed, I would like to see Lynch gone. He can settle his legal jeopardy on his own time, with his own lawyers, and have nothing to do with the Gophers.

One of the
worst
Beatdowns in Gopher BB history at home today
Worst loss at home since UCLA beat us by 39 in 1968

twinsfan -> RE: Gopher Basketball (Mens) (1/16/2018 9:01:53 AM)

Big win for the Gophers on the road at Penn State last night. Harris was lighting it up from 3-point range, especially in OT. It's vital that we find another scorer to go along with the 3Ms.

SoMnFan -> RE: Gopher Basketball (Mens) (1/16/2018 6:28:44 PM)

Shocked by that road win.
Makes that home shellacking even more embarrassing and telling ....[:o]

As good as Pitino has done 2 of the last 4 seasons, he hasn't recruited enough depth to overcome an injury or two the last two seasons. Just doesn't have enough depth on the bench.

TJSweens -> RE: Gopher Basketball (Mens) (1/17/2018 7:01:13 AM)

Which is baffling because we keep hearing about these top 20 recruiting classes he brings in. Maybe the depth is there and he doesn't how to coach it.

I think Harris helped show the depth is there. Pitino hadn't been playing him much until the Penn State game. The kid showed some shooting skills. I'm not sure what took Pitino so long to put some trust in him. Or maybe Harris really wasn't ready until this week?

Yep. More disappointment in that program.

Better put Daddy on the payroll to actually instruct players.

twinsfan -> RE: Gopher Basketball (Mens) (1/18/2018 7:13:36 PM)

Oh no. Len Elmore and Tim Brando doing the game tonight. BARFFFFF!!

twinsfan -> RE: Gopher Basketball (Mens) (1/18/2018 7:33:42 PM)

Harris drills a 3 in the first minute. BOOM! This kid could salvage our season.

twinsfan -> RE: Gopher Basketball (Mens) (1/18/2018 7:35:03 PM)

#21...hands of steel.

twinsfan -> RE: Gopher Basketball (Mens) (1/18/2018 7:36:49 PM)

Wow....both teams are ice cold. Gophers still stuck on 3 points 4 minutes into the game.

twinsfan -> RE: Gopher Basketball (Mens) (1/18/2018 7:43:02 PM)

Harris with another 3. He has all 6 points.
