Just a sidenote on Lynne's comment. The Big 10 website is terrible! Not only are they very slow to update, but you so easily can get switched to a different sport or just a general team page, when all you're looking to do is find every team's remaining football schedule. Very frustrating trying to navigate it.

closer game than it needed to be last night. We have great team speed and overall our talent is enormous. What pisses me off is our lazy play in our own zone. We almost think it's too easy sometimes. We were killing them with our speed through the neutral zone all night. They could barely get it in our zone. When they did, they looked semi-dangerous. Especially the back door plays and the crashing of the net. They overwhelmed our D with numbers down low. That's got to stop. PK finally looked good again though.

Good one so far. Mavericks are a good team. Although I really do think BSU and a few other teams have a chance to win that conference, I can see why Mankato is the favorite.

Yup, I give them a lot of credit. They've changed their style to accomidate for our speed. It's pretty much neutralized now. We need to be smart in the 3rd to get a win. Only up 1.

Gorgie's losing that hair at an alarming rate, isn't he? Also should think about mixing in a salad. Or going back to the shaved head. I think that made everything work. I ran into him one time at the MSP airport. Very nice guy. Interesting story how he became the top hockey analyst on FSN. Now I feel bad for ripping on him. [>:] I love Gorg. [:D]

Shibrowski has to be one of the chunkiest goaltenders I've seen. Pitching a shutout so far. This dude is a senior? Does he have a chance for any type of professional career after sitting on the bench so much in college? He looks like he knows what he's doing. Definitely covers a lot of net.

I forgot that Shibrowski had a chance to battle for the #1 spot last year with Wilcox. I'm surprised he doesn't get much of an opportunity.

Chunky? When they interviewed Shibrowski after the game he looked like a tall, skinny kid. Those pads must have been supersized.

Really great sweep. A much tighter game like i expected. Our spped took them by surprise on Friday. They adjusted well.

Gophers up on UMD 3-1 and the 1st period isn't even over. There's no way we don't win the Big 10 this year. Unless we're peaking too early?? But it seems like we still have a lot of room to grow. This could be a classic Gophers team.

Wilcox had me worried early on. There were three shots in the first couple of minutes that rebounded from him and he had no idea where the puck was. The third time the Bulldogs took advantage and slid one past him. But he clearly settled in after that and has played well. The offense took about ten minutes to start to click but then went gangbusters.

The whole team setttled in nicely. I expect a whole different UMD tomorrow.

ST were awful. We got what we deserved. Wilcox didn't have a chance on about 4 of those.
