Jeff Jesser -> RE: Gopher Football (10/6/2011 10:51:25 AM)

I remember I had a bet with Brad that he would go before round three (I guessed early 2nd).  He claimed he would go undrafted [&o]

Karl Juhnke -> RE: Gopher Football (10/7/2011 2:35:19 PM)

Anyone who actually watched Decker on a regular basis would have known that by the point he got injured his senior year he had developed into an elite receiver.

SoMnFan -> RE: Gopher Football (10/7/2011 5:19:37 PM)

Pretty interesting that Eric started having more success when he drastically changed his lifting routines.
Re-shaped his body and it has paid off wth better quickness and speed.
Dropped some bulk off his neck and shoulders, has a sleeker look.
Really had to work hard to overcome that strange toe injury, that is one that can easily de-rail a career.
Hope he keeps putting up numbers. Really like his game. He almost made us legit when he was healthy.

twinsfan -> RE: Gopher Football (10/8/2011 11:38:56 AM)

That was a tough one to call. Probably a good call to not overturn the TD.

Jim Frenette -> RE: Gopher Football (10/8/2011 11:41:47 AM)

Here we go again. On the Jerry Kill show this week they showed the new weight room. The way these guys are tackling, they aren't using the room.

I'm not at all impressed with Gopher play callinging. Very slow handoffs on running plays.

David Levine -> RE: Gopher Football (10/8/2011 11:43:55 AM)

Just realized the game was on, and its already 24-0?

Good lord...

twinsfan -> RE: Gopher Football (10/8/2011 11:43:57 AM)

And now an INT returned for a TD by Purdue.

24-0 at the end of the 1st. That's a 96-0 pace. Can't stand Justin Conzemius (sp?) on KFAN....he said this was "a winnable game" for the Gophs. I laughed.

1st isn't over yet...We still have time for another defensive TD...

twinsfan -> RE: Gopher Football (10/8/2011 11:44:53 AM)

We could not win any DII or DIII conference in the nation - take your pick.

David Levine -> RE: Gopher Football (10/8/2011 11:45:28 AM)

The Lynx could beat this team...

twinsfan -> RE: Gopher Football (10/8/2011 11:46:11 AM)

Coach Kill should tell these losers that if they don't score at least 3 points this quarter, he is walking out and driving back to MN at halftime.

twinsfan -> RE: Gopher Football (10/8/2011 11:47:09 AM)

St. Thomas would destroy the Gophers. WCCO got the right team. Would they even take the Gophers back if given the chance?

twinsfan -> RE: Gopher Football (10/8/2011 11:50:01 AM)

Use Gray's legs. That should be good for 17 points every game.

twinsfan -> RE: Gopher Football (10/8/2011 11:51:18 AM)

Damn RB fumbles. Just let Gray run.

I hate being so down on these kids....but WTF??????

David Levine -> RE: Gopher Football (10/8/2011 11:54:17 AM)

chipscoggins
Um, one thought: What happens when the Gophers hit the tough part of their schedule?

twinsfan -> RE: Gopher Football (10/8/2011 11:55:00 AM)

What a defensive stand!

Jim Frenette -> RE: Gopher Football (10/8/2011 12:20:56 PM)

Kill needs to hold a tackling audition with the student body. Bet he finds better then what he has now

panndder -> RE: Gopher Football (10/8/2011 12:22:54 PM)

96 unanswered points and running.

Asad-Abdul khaliq is not walking through that door fans. Willie Middlebrooks, Karon Riley are not walking through that door.''

Joe Schmit
For the second straight Saturday I am wondering why I am wasting my time watching this.

Darren Wolfson
I don't understand Kill burning red-shirts six games in. DB Cedric Thompson in, so there goes his.

Dan Barreiro
Only the Gophers could rough punter, only to find out punter leaves play healthier than the rougher.

Gophers Now
What was Wright thinking? Kill won't let him off the field even though he seems hurt. I've never seen a worse attempt at blocking a punt.

Judd Zulgad
Question for longtime Gophers fans. Has it ever been worse than this? Salem and Wacker eras were terrible but is this worse?

Darren Wolfson
In nine Big Ten games, the '83 #Gophers were outscored 417-147. In one less B1G game this year, this squad might do worse.

Jon Krawczynski
I know, I know, the cupboard was bare. That's the way it's been. But these Gophers have looked completely unprepared. That's a concern.

Jim Frenette -> RE: Gopher Football (10/8/2011 1:27:16 PM)

Looks like Kill makes another apology this week. They could at least make the game entertaining

Wasn't that kickoff return for a TD entertaining? They guy sure didn't act like he'd been there before with his celebration.

TJSweens -> RE: Gopher Football (10/8/2011 1:48:35 PM)

It's too bad. I drank gallons of the Kool-Aid. I loved the Jerry Kill approach. The guy was saying all the right things and looked to be going about things the right way. The problem is that he came in here as a guy with a reputation for coaching players up to the next level. So far in 6 games he has not made these players even slightly better than when Brewster coached them.

twinsfan -> RE: Gopher Football (10/8/2011 2:00:21 PM)

Our punt coverage looks pretty good.

I'm with you.

I'm not going to write Kill off, and I didn't expect us to be good, but this is VERY disheartening.

Especially with these Jr & Sr beating Ill & Iowa to end last year
