What is wrong with these guys? Two meltdown plays.

Ohio State has tremendous speed. Nobody would want to play them right now.

twinsfan -> RE: Gopher Football (11/15/2014 11:40:06 AM)

Looks like Maxx Williams may be out with a concussion.

twinsfan -> RE: Gopher Football (11/15/2014 11:41:51 AM)

Everyone in the building knew Leidner was throwing to Williams. Lucky it wasn't an INT and TD going back the other way.

twinsfan -> RE: Gopher Football (11/15/2014 11:42:30 AM)

Just something in his eye.

Corleone -> RE: Gopher Football (11/15/2014 11:44:08 AM)

Needed that badly

kgdabom -> RE: Gopher Football (11/15/2014 11:44:35 AM)

Great pick and Return. However that key block appeared to be in the back. Anybody else see that?

Steve Lentz -> RE: Gopher Football (11/15/2014 11:46:07 AM)

That's what we need. Power football with Cobb.

Corleone -> RE: Gopher Football (11/15/2014 11:46:38 AM)

Finish this drive, back in the game, boys....

twinsfan -> RE: Gopher Football (11/15/2014 11:47:21 AM)

Caught a break.

Ground and pound, baby.

kgdabom -> RE: Gopher Football (11/15/2014 11:51:39 AM)

WOW all we needed to do was straight up the middle to Cobb play after play. Keep going to it if they can't stop it.

You saw what I was talking about. It was obvious right or did my eyes deceive me. We should have been starting from inside our own 10.

Steve Lentz -> RE: Gopher Football (11/15/2014 11:53:21 AM)

Cobb is our best and we can attack their middle. That style of play will keep Ohio State's offense off the field and give our defense a rest.

twinsfan -> RE: Gopher Football (11/15/2014 11:53:28 AM)

Cobb is the man. This OSU defense doesn't look so great. We can run on them. Looks like Leidner will have trouble throwing today, though. Will need to catch them by surprise with some playaction later on. Hopefully Leidner can hit the wide open guys and not make huge mistakes.

twinsfan -> RE: Gopher Football (11/15/2014 11:54:57 AM)

I was positive it was gonna get flagged as soon as it happened. Looked obvious to me.

TJSweens -> RE: Gopher Football (11/15/2014 11:55:46 AM)

That's what I call fight back. Great int and return by BBC. Then grind it the rest of the in.

I thought the block on the return looked like a side to side hit. It was borderline at worst, especially in a broken field situation. If we got away with one, so did OSU with the blatant hold on the TD pass.

twinsfan -> RE: Gopher Football (11/15/2014 11:57:52 AM)

I can see the argument for side hit, and it looked worse because the receiver turned his back as soon as he was hit. Still surprised it wasn't called. I think I woulda been pissed if the tables were turned.

Giving up waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too many running lanes. People aren't staying in their gaps.

Corleone -> RE: Gopher Football (11/15/2014 12:12:07 PM)

OMG.....HUGE

twinsfan -> RE: Gopher Football (11/15/2014 12:12:28 PM)

Miracle fumble and recovery! We are getting some breaks.

Exactly it seems like we don't have any concept of containment. In this weather just force them into long drives and sooner or later they will make a mistake like the fumble just now. GO GOPHERS.

kgdabom -> RE: Gopher Football (11/15/2014 12:13:33 PM)

Almost an 80 yard TD there. So close.

twinsfan -> RE: Gopher Football (11/15/2014 12:14:24 PM)

Cobb about an inch away from a game tying run.

Not a fan of the gold-on-gold

Low-balling that the alternate look cost at least $50 per player at 100 players, the U is so flush that there's nowhere else they could have used $5000 than on the forever sucking football program? I went the the U and unless things have changed considerably, I know there are buildings on the Mall that could use some work and a student or two that could stand some help with textbooks.

Come on, U of M. Embrace reality and stop spending so much money on a football program that will never be better than OK except in exceptional years where they might rocket up to pretty good.

kgdabom -> RE: Gopher Football (11/15/2014 12:17:22 PM)

Keep this game close and Ohio State will start to get nervous. We can win.
