Nice job by the refs to correct that call on the fair catch.

bstinger -> RE: Gopher Football (10/31/2015 8:42:08 PM)

TD MITCH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

bstinger -> RE: Gopher Football (10/31/2015 8:43:46 PM)

SKI-U-MAH!

bstinger -> RE: Gopher Football (10/31/2015 9:08:38 PM)

Leidner continuing to look like a QB. [:-]

bstinger -> RE: Gopher Football (10/31/2015 9:10:14 PM)

Too early to be that conservative.

twinsfan -> RE: Gopher Football (10/31/2015 9:25:46 PM)

Harbaugh complains and they pick up the flag. Typical Big 10 refs......they know who butters their bread. #15 lifted and threw Leidner into the ground after he was already down.

bstinger -> RE: Gopher Football (10/31/2015 9:47:19 PM)

Huge pick up on 4th down, great catch by Maye, if it stands. It does. Even if it didn't he was getting mugged.

bstinger -> RE: Gopher Football (10/31/2015 9:49:03 PM)

Touchdown Gophers!!!!!!!!

Suck it Michigan and Harbaugh.

bstinger -> RE: Gopher Football (10/31/2015 9:50:00 PM)

Oops, will be short.

bstinger -> RE: Gopher Football (10/31/2015 9:54:12 PM)

What a f'd up couple of last plays to end an otherwise great game.

Mr. Ed -> RE: Gopher Football (10/31/2015 9:57:40 PM)

If they coached like they were trying to keep their jobs....

They just blew it.

Idiotic football. Just incredibly stupid.

Corleone -> RE: Gopher Football (10/31/2015 9:59:57 PM)

Once again, snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

You can't make this stuff up.

Jeff Jesser -> RE: Gopher Football (10/31/2015 10:00:08 PM)

Wow, TC's with an audition about being a HC and it's an F-. We just "beat" the national celebrity and our head coach had no idea what to do in the end.

There was a question about whether or not to bring back this staff. That should, pretty much, wrap that question up with a pretty little bow.

twinsfan -> RE: Gopher Football (10/31/2015 10:00:37 PM)

You can only laugh. Only the Gophers.

Corleone -> RE: Gopher Football (10/31/2015 10:03:30 PM)

Well, Tracy...if that sequence at the end was your audition...[sm=Weak-Link.gif][&:]

Beat me to it.

Just an embarrassing ending. Zero reason to call a pass.

All the time they wasted at the end of that game. Unreal.

Mr. Ed -> RE: Gopher Football (10/31/2015 10:19:46 PM)

@1500ESPNJudd
That was ineptitude at its highest level. Shotgun? Clock management? Just terrible.

@DWolfsonKSTP
The issues: after Maye 4th down catch, use 17 sec. Then use 29 sec. after the Leidner run. Then 20 sec. left 1 TO and only run 2 plays. Man.

@1500ESPN_Reusse
They had 450 yards against No.1-rated defense in country. Offense was terrific, until WTF call on first down at half-yd line.

MarkWren -> RE: Gopher Football (10/31/2015 10:39:05 PM)

Just when you think it can't get any worse being a MN sports fan...what a perfect ending to a very tough week.

Claeys & company MUST be shown the door after this season, now. Just not at the level we need, simple as that. We had hints of it in bowl games & a few others, but
man, do they ever NOT have it in big moments. Never seen an implosion like that, at the end. All night long, we got the breaks & the bounces & just enough calls. And it still
wasn't enough to keep the Jug. Disgusting. And fittingly, in front of a fantastic, raucous crowd of hopeful Gopher fans. Crushing loss.

bstinger -> RE: Gopher Football (10/31/2015 10:43:57 PM)

Yep that game seals it for me, we need a different crew. These guys are capable of making us competitive, but we need better than that. Terrible game management at the end.

Black 47 -> RE: Gopher Football (10/31/2015 11:01:04 PM)

Should have been a moot point had the receiver not gone straight to his knees at the half yard line after he caught a perfect pass from Leidner. Did he need to leave his feet? I think he did to ensure he caught it, but didn't have to. He deserves a little grief too. He's gotta score on that pass.

When the TD was called back we all knew we wouldn't win the game.

Bad clock mgmnt then a qb sneak?

After the clock debacle you just kick the damn FG and take your chances in OT

Jeff Jesser -> RE: Gopher Football (11/1/2015 9:31:49 AM)

Yeah, no way I can blame a WR who gives his all and falls a 1/2 yard short. There was 19 seconds and a TO. No way that's on him, IMO. The loss was tough to take but that absolute bush league coaching at the end sealed it for me.

The last few seconds of that game sure didn't help Claeys' case for getting the head coach job.
