Our defense looks awful. On the flea flicker that should have been pass interference. Nice recovery, but he made contact before the ball got there.

All we know for sure after week one, is that there are a couple B10 teams that will absolutely SHRED the Gophers, as currently constructed.

Yepper...great defense but they still seem limited on Offense.

The issue in game 1 is the issue that has been talked about almost all off season ... line play. There is almost zero depth on both units and the O-line has a pretty suspect starting 5. Fleck identified this as the biggest short term challenge when he took over.

I've watched our #1 OL recruit from this year a lot, (during HS) .... and he is considered OL depth right now, and that is frightening to me.
And it should be to everyone.
You are correct, our #1 issue. Where's Glen Mason when you need him?
Used to be our best asset.

What is it with OL play in this state?
Arguably the two worst OLs in their respective leagues, CFB and NFL

If he's (right now) going to be expected to play against typical B10 D-linemen .... be afraid. Very afraid.

Defense played really well....there was a missed 37 yard fg and an interception in the end zone at the end of the 1st half....at least 6-10 points....
