Koren was mediocre in his best years. He was always potential and no production. he had one year with 1000 yards and even that year he only had 5 TDs

All those guys were pretty solid in college.  I remember Robinson single handedily beat the Gophers in a bowl game.  [:@]

My hemorrhoids could single handedily beat the Gophers now.

Are you resentful that your hemorrhoids were not recruited by the Gophers?  [;)]

Peter King is so far off on his MVP watch it isn't even funny

MVP Watch
1. Peyton Manning, QB, Indianapolis. Look at the team he's playing with. It's semi-decimated. Colts are 3-2, and he's completing 68 percent with 11 touchdowns and two intereceptions.

2. Donovan McNabb, QB, Washington. The last time Washington saw a quarterback with McNabb's moxie and guts, Billy Kilmer was playing.

3. Tom Brady, QB, New England. Pats are averaging 33 points a game (obviously, with help from special-teams after last Monday's win), but Brady's importance will only rise now that Moss is gone.

4. Troy Polamalu, S, Pittsburgh. Long uphill climb for Roethlisberger to catch the big-haired one as the Steelers' most valuable.

5. Josh Freeman, QB, Tampa Bay. Forget the stats. Watch the Bucs. They're a gallant team, and Freeman makes more mistakes than he should. But he's the on-field keystone to an intriguing team that's not going away.

Troy P is the only one deserving to be on this list. The Colts and Pats have been smacked around and are not even top line contenders.

With Kolb under center for parts of two games and another full one, Jackson has caught four of the 13 passes thrown his way, for an average of 9.25 yards per catch. That's right: 9.25 yards per catch. And zero touchdowns.

With Vick under center for parts of two games and two other full ones, Jackson has caught 14 of the 23 passes thrown his way, for an average of 23.1 yards per catch. That's 324 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

With Vick throwing the ball, Jackson has six catches of 20 or more yards, including four catches of 40 or more yards, the second most of any receiver in the National Football League. With Kolb, Jackson's longest reception is 20 yards.

It's simple. Vick has the confidence and the experience to wait for Jackson, who routinely is getting bumped at the line of scrimmage and double teamed, to put a sliver of daylight between himself and his defender(s). Vick knows that if he can buy an extra second or two with his legs, Jackson will reward him. The defense will eventually break down.

John Childress -> RE: RE:NFL News (10/15/2010 1:44:33 PM)

He he

He may not even play this week. I think he was maybe 80% but he felt he had to play because of all his talk.

Too bad for him he got torched

Factoid of the Week That May Interest Only Me
In the past 365 days, the Titans are 13-4 and the Broncos 4-13. A year ago today, Denver was 6-0 and Tennessee 0-6. You see which way each is heading. (Even weirder, the now-sinking Broncos beat the now-rising Titans 26-20 in Week 4 of 2010.)

Giants are in a league of their own in the NFC right now. Surrounded by mediocrity.

Right now they are playing at a different level. But in recent years we have seen the Vikings and Eagles totally shut them down and make Eli look like a rookie

BUT

Right now they look very, very good. Even in the game they lost to the Titans they doubled them in yardage

Their offensive and defensive lines are great!

Lynn G. -> RE: NFL News (10/25/2010 10:07:31 PM)

Just as recently as a couple of weeks ago the Giants were embarrassed by the Colts - so even the Giants are subject to defeats.

Really don't have to make stupid stuff up about Jay Cutler, he takes care of that himself.....
His "I'd go after him again" statement yesterday ranks right up there on the "5,000 dumb things Jay Cutler has said" list.

Pretty remarkable. He's 12 catches, 191 yards and 1 TD away from matching his career totals heading into this year.

He got to go back to Pete Carroll.

Pete's the only coach that's been able to get through to him in his post high school life.

Glad to see he's succeeding.  Better than that worthless pile of dung the Vikings drafted that same day at the same position.

Captain Granite Hands Hear's footsteps Williamson.
