I read somewhere that Rodgers made a kiss my ass motion to the crowd last night. Any truth to that?

If there is and EVERY talking head fails to talk about such a "classless act" I might punch Joe Buck in the face.

Might anyway. [&:]

He's the GB Packers QB (that's about 70% of it)
Throw in another 25% for his choreographed "I wear the Belt" cele.
And another 5% for his friendship with Cutler.
He's a prick, IMO. I'm allowed an opinion.
I say in every post that he's very good, and I'd love to have a QB with his skill-set.
You like him. I don't. Don't let it bother you.

No one questioned your right to an opinion

I asked what was it based on.

Does race play a part in the public's perception of Michael Vick?

Decent article.

All I can say is that if it was Peyton Manning or Brett Favre my hatred would run just as deep.

But I can't prove that...don't want to have to prove that.

But that won't be the truth for everyone.

Jeff Jesser -> RE: NFL News (9/28/2010 3:42:39 PM)

I'm white and if my sister, parents, best friend or priest did that I'd hate their f-ing guts and never speak to them again.

John Childress -> RE: NFL News (9/28/2010 4:07:42 PM)

I would much rather Vick as my brother than Ray Lewis or Ben Roethlisberger

Jeff Jesser -> RE: NFL News (9/28/2010 4:16:27 PM)

I'd rather be punched in the chimichangas than be a brother to any of them, personally.

Todd M -> RE: NFL News (9/28/2010 4:19:57 PM)

I agree. I'd much rather Jeff be punched in the chimichangas than be a brother to any of them either.

Lynn G. -> RE: NFL News (9/28/2010 4:26:09 PM)

The line forms here to punch Jeff in the chimichangas.

SoMnFan -> RE: NFL News (9/28/2010 8:01:47 PM)

Gotta agree here .. a punch in Jeff's netherlands is better than me having to be related to any of those three.
Thanks for the sacrifice, Jeff.

Todd M -> RE: NFL News (9/28/2010 8:08:31 PM)

That run of posts cracks me up.

John Childress -> RE: NFL News (9/28/2010 9:08:56 PM)

Vick was looking at a house in my neighborhood but some neighbors were ready to have him in here. This was the first year. We already had FB Weaver on the block and DE Trent Cole lives down the street.

I wonder if they would change their vote after a few more wins?

Lars -> RE: NFL News (9/29/2010 1:30:28 PM)

<pounds Jeff's chimichangas like Sugar Ray working the speed bag>

Lynn G. -> RE: NFL News (9/29/2010 1:32:27 PM)

Poor Jeff. I wish a speedy recovery for him.

Trekgeekscott -> RE: NFL News (9/29/2010 1:33:38 PM)

Everyone deserves a shot at his chimichangas before he can hope for a recovery.

Love it!

I don't know why but I really hope this catches on. [&:]

Jeff Jesser -> RE: NFL News (9/29/2010 2:35:35 PM)

I don't....

Todd M -> RE: NFL News (9/29/2010 2:38:42 PM)

Come on man....

I googled Jeff's chimichangas and it was only a 2nd pager...gotta get it to the top.

John Childress -> RE: NFL News (10/2/2010 7:51:43 AM)

The best high school QB from Hampton Roads area in Virginia wasn't Aaron Brooks, Marcus Vick, or even Michael Vick

That is what people are failing to realize. Forget my opinion. Call me biased, whatever.

But Andy Reid basically invested his coaching future in Philly in Kolb. He traded away the best QB the team has ever had for this guy and has already seen enough to know Vick is better.

That is extremely telling.

The worst part is the fundamental flaws in his game that won't get better with experience.

Vick is showing himself to be more of a true quarterback than he used to be- yet he still has amazing athleticism.  It's possible that he may have lost a step from a few years ago, but he's still amazing.  Don't you think that his development and emergence has a lot to do with why Kolb is not starting? (not just the realization after one half of one game that he's really not that good)  I absolutely believe that it is the right decision and I applaud Andy Reid for being flexible enough to change his mind.

John Childress -> RE: NFL News (10/2/2010 10:05:26 AM)

They were talking about it on the radio this morning. The difference for Vick was when he came to Philadelphia last year McNabb taught him how to practice and how to study. It took a year for him to get his legs under him. He is about 85% of the runner that he was but twice the passer. He will have some bad games coming up because he still has to learn to utilize the middle better. But, he is much better than he ever was and is probably better at this stage than McNabb.

He has thrown the first punch. Now defenses will counter that by taking away the deep pass. It is up to him to work the middle to get them out of that.

Kolb was so scared on opening day that Reid had to do something even if Kolb didn't get the concussion. The other players saw how scared he was.

John Childress -> RE: NFL News (10/2/2010 10:06:01 AM)

Oh yeah, Vick said that in high school he patterned his game after Iverson!

That explains why he never learned to practice!

John Childress -> RE: NFL News (10/2/2010 3:25:30 PM)

Practice?! You talkin' bout PRACTICE?!

Bruce Johnson -> RE: NFL News (10/3/2010 6:33:43 PM)

McNabb went out of bounds near the end of the game when he didn't need to.  It could have cost the Redskins the game, but it didn't.
