Nice job Brad

marty -> RE: The Packers (1/23/2022 3:28:21 PM)

Interesting that after Aaron Rodgers in the regular season commented that he owned the Bears, karma, he gets beat in the playoffs by a QB that was from Illinois, and a kicker that used to play for the Bears.

Jimmy G congratulated Gould after the game, and then said "**** the Packers". Lol

Lynn G. -> RE: The Packers (1/24/2022 9:56:14 AM)

When I saw and heard that idiotic screech from Rodgers telling Bears fans that he owned them, I was SO hoping it would come back to bite him. Indeed it did. [:D]

Lynn G. -> RE: The Packers (1/24/2022 12:08:11 PM)

I'm enjoying seeing Twitter posts from all over the country saying they are happy to see both Brady and Rodgers out of the playoffs. For Brady, I think it's mostly because people get tired of always seeing the same person get the golden ring.

For Rodgers I think it's mostly because people can't stand him personally. He's never been one of those people that everyone says "he's such a good guy."

I just read an article that suggested, because next year Denver is 42 million under the cap, and Packers are 40 million over the cap, that Denver would hire Hackett as HC, then acquire Rodgers AND Adams.

Then, I would add, the Vikes or another team, takes away DC Joe Barry, to make him their HC, and the Packers go 0-17 ?

Two flaws in your logic.

The Vikings always find a way to lose at least one of the two games to the Packers,
and the Packers get to play the Lions AND Bears twice apiece.

There is no way they go 0-17.

To top it off the Packers although flawed have done very well with their roster outside of finding Rodgers another young weapon.

marty -> RE: The Packers (1/28/2022 8:42:36 AM)

I am saying if Hackett, Rodgers, Adams and Barry are all gone, the Packers can go 0-17.

I have to admit, that would be delicious. [:D]

marty -> RE: The Packers (1/28/2022 10:37:33 AM)

Lol

Almost as good, the Vikings win the division with a 0-11-6 record.

Lynn G. -> RE: The Packers (1/28/2022 1:00:29 PM)

WHAT? You want the Vikings to have a season with no wins? Who would ever wish that on their own team?

marty -> RE: The Packers (1/28/2022 3:09:33 PM)

ONLY if the Vikings win the division.

I think it would be cool to make history, and I like things that are unusual, where the odds are stacked against them happening.

What would be even MORE cool, would be if that 0-11-6 Vikings team went on to win the Super Bowl. Lol

if they went an entire year without wining a single game. Lost 11 and tied six. what would make you think they could win a playoff game?

Yeah this would be wildly unusual. Kind of like Donald Trump mating with a platypus and the resultant offspring being the next coming of Christ.

It sure wouldn't be cool watching those 17 games.

And is the history that you want for us to go down as the worst team ever to win a Super Bowl?

marty -> RE: The Packers (1/28/2022 6:29:37 PM)

Maybe they're peaking at getting some ties in December. They are confident they can play teams to a tie, and the playoffs force there to be a winner. Get lucky, and build momentum throughout the playoffs and an historic run.

marty -> RE: The Packers (1/28/2022 6:31:07 PM)

I wouldn't care if the Vikes had the worst team ever to win a SB, they would have the ring.

marty -> RE: The Packers (1/28/2022 6:34:22 PM)

Yes, I have a stronger preference for the Vikings to make history and go undefeated and win the SB.

A 1998 like season of domination, 15-1, but finishing it off with a SB win, now that would be something as well.

Lynn G. -> RE: The Packers (1/29/2022 9:37:01 AM)

I would HATE, HATE, HATE it if the Vikings had a season like that, no matter the SuperBowl outcome. You just know that it would be forever discounted as a fluke, or perhaps hints of refs helping them, if they had that horrific of a season (which I would HATE, HATE, HATE to have to live through) only to win in the end.

Nope. Definitely not something I would cherish in any way.

marty -> RE: The Packers (1/29/2022 12:21:35 PM)

That's really true Lynn, you're right.

It would be better if the Vikings were the first 17-0 team to go on and win the Super Bowl.

Trekgeekscott -> RE: The Packers (2/4/2022 8:53:29 AM)

Jared Stillman of ESPN Nashville reported this week that Rodgers has bought land in a Nashville suburb for the purpose of building a home. In that same report, Stillman reported that sources said Rodgers is “open” to joining Nashville’s NFL team – the Titans.

In that same report, Stillman said that sources in Green Bay have told him that some of Rodgers’ teammates don’t believe he’s coming back to the Packers. It’s a lot of circumstantial evidence, but it’s evidence nonetheless.

As you can imagine, Titans fans are very intrigued by the possibility. Many believe that Rodgers would be an obvious upgrade over incumbent starter Ryan Tannehill:

Lynn G. -> RE: The Packers (2/4/2022 12:15:34 PM)

My first choice would be for him to just retire and disappear.

My second choice would be for him to leave Green Bay in the dust and just not play for any other team in our division.

If he plays for the Titans, the players there are going to find out soon enough (if they don't know it already), that Rodgers is an excellent quarterback, but a crappy person.

It's all just silly speculation. but I found it amusing nonetheless.

As far as I am concerned until it is reported that he's been traded or retires, that he is a Packer.

and all my hoping for his departure will be for naught until then. So I don't get my hopes up.

Lynn G. -> RE: The Packers (2/4/2022 12:19:48 PM)

True dat.

Trekgeekscott -> RE: The Packers (3/24/2022 3:16:12 PM)

So the Packers Sign His Holiness Captain arrogant to a gigantic contract...

Since then they've traded their best WR, Devante Adams to the Raiders and now this:

https://www.profootballrumors.com/2022/03/chiefs-to-sign-wr-marquez-valdes-scantling

Who is the great airen going to throw the ball to now?

marty -> RE: The Packers (3/24/2022 6:09:54 PM)

TrekScott, it's 80% QB, 20% WR, WRs will emerge.

Could be Lazard, a FA, maybe they draft 2 1st WRs.

Montana and Brady both won SBs with not much at WR, Rodgers can do the same.
