BOOYA! That's GOTTA hurt! What happened to AP???

Cheesehead Craig -> RE:The Packers (11/11/2007 11:05:35 PM)

Just a complete domination by the Packers today. The OL played their best game hands down and Grant is proving to be a very good RB so far. I'll admit, I've haven't fully believed that the Packers were as good as their record. That's over, I do now. GO PACK GO!

Steve Lentz -> RE:The Packers (11/11/2007 11:14:21 PM)

The packers asswhipped the Vikings in every phase of the game including rushing the ball! Congrats Craig

David Moufang -> RE:The Packers (11/11/2007 11:18:51 PM)

So much for not having a running game...

Toby Stumbo -> RE:The Packers (11/11/2007 11:38:01 PM)

What an ass whooping :angry:

djskillz -> RE:The Packers (11/11/2007 11:40:05 PM)

Congrats Packer fans. Man, the Vikes just laid down today. Really was pathetic. When YOU GUYS are running on us, that is sad.

David Moufang -> RE:The Packers (11/11/2007 11:53:35 PM)
Congrats Packer fans. Man, the Vikes just laid down today. Really was pathetic. When YOU GUYS are running on us, that is sad.
The only sad thing is that Childress and the Vikings completely and embarrassingly underestimated the Packers. Pretty freakin pathetic performance from all areas of the Vikings today. Maybe now everyone will STFU about the Packers' running game.

djskillz -> RE:The Packers (11/11/2007 11:58:26 PM)

Well DM, I still don't think the Packers' running game is very good. McCarthy called a good game today, but the Vikes' D (and offense) laid a real egg.

Right now, I don't think that calling it servicable is out of line. The Packers simply beat the Vikings today, period. They dominated both sides of the ball. This wasn't the Vikings not having a good game, this was a beatdown.

LEATHERFACE47 -> RE:The Packers (11/12/2007 2:22:39 AM)

packers should be fined for running up the score!!! it was quite clear after it was 13-0 they should have called the dogs off. I hope to god that peterson is ok though. not that he can make much of a difference in this train wreck of a season

I'd say we're beyond improving.

Yes, the RBs had some decent ypc avg, but there was nothing like this kind of blocking before. That's why as much as I love the results today, I would like to see it in several consecutive games before I declare it cured. The prognosis though is very good. This Packer team is very good in all 5 aspects of the game: offense, defense, special teams, coaching and GM.

Lynn G. -> RE:The Packers (11/12/2007 8:20:24 PM)

It might be a while until I venture back to Lambeau Field for a game. The guy across the aisle from me called me an effing bitch just for wearing purple. When Peterson was injured he stood up and cheered, and hollered that he hoped his leg was broken. I uttered the single word "classy" and was repaid with a tirade that repeated what he had previously called me and a few other choice words. Then he calmed down, chewed out a couple of other Viking fans in the next section over (he figured that his screaming voice would carry). Later in the game, at the one point I actually had something to cheer about (a long pass that got us down to about the 10 yard line right in front of me), I raised up my purple hat and yelled "Whooo." This, of course, got a response from the "gentleman" across the aisle who proceeded to tell me that I could cheer when I got a stadium and he threw in a few extra F words just to make his point. After three quarters of his abuse, the two guys sitting behind me finally called him out on it and told him to shut up. While the guy argued with them for a while (because of course he had every right to say whatever the F he wanted), I turned around and told the two guys I appreciated their comment. What a swell experience. Do you want to know something else - I don't believe I saw one single person of color at Lambeau Field. I'm not claiming I saw everyone in the stands, but in the two sections around me and the hundreds (maybe thousands) of people I passed walking to the stadium, through the tailgating lot, in the concourses, and then the reverse of all that at the end of the game - not a one. I'm sure I missed a couple in section 102 or something, but it made me realize how they got away with the racial slurs yelled to Moss a couple of years ago. Who would stand up to stop them?

John Childress -> RE:The Packers (11/12/2007 8:31:17 PM)

That is a shame Lynn Bad enough that people feel they have to act ignorant towards other fans but for a man to curse out a woman is just plain low. I guess your husband wasn't able to attend?

Duane Sampson -> RE:The Packers (11/12/2007 8:33:16 PM)

What do you expect from people in "Northern Arkansas." Lynn? I've only been to GB once but I'm in Madison a lot. Take away the school kids and it's one backward ass city. Smaller towns gotta be worse. Still, pretty kewl that a couple of 'em stuck up for ya.

The fact that I was with my wife kept me enough under control. I heard stories of what had happened to a Packer fan there that I couldn't repeat in here. As bad as it gets. Maybe it only in certain sections but liquor and anger result in some moronic behaivor. I respect you for wearing your colors and for not being afraid to cheer for your team. Funny on the network broadcast the announcers stated only in GB can Viking and Packer fans sit in harmony with just good natured ribbing between them. :shock:

Jeff Jesser -> RE:The Packers (11/12/2007 8:46:11 PM)

Try going to Philly. "Good natured ribbing" there usually means a shank to the side.

He would have been livid.

Cheesehead Craig -> RE:The Packers (11/12/2007 8:56:56 PM)

Drunk @$$holes suck. Regardless of where you go, there seem to be there. It's bad enough to get socked for a couple of hundred dollars to go to an NFL game, let alone having deal with idiots like this.

Lynn G. -> RE:The Packers (11/12/2007 8:58:19 PM)
Still, pretty kewl that a couple of 'em stuck up for ya.
It was nice, and it affirmed that I hadn't provoked the guy. One of the things they were telling him to calm him down was that "she hasn't said a thing to you, or anyone else. Leave her alone." I told the people sitting next to me that I didn't consider him an example of Packer fans - just an idiot. We passed a couple of other "idiots" on the way to our car afterward too - but you can tell that the alcohol loosens their tongues a bit. Still - it left a bad taste in my mouth, and I'm not sure I'll go again. His ticket package doesn't always include the Viking game in it, so it might be a couple of years before the opportunity would ever come up again anyway.

Andy Lowe -> RE:The Packers (11/12/2007 9:00:38 PM)
