About a thousand feet of Giants outs there ... Brewers still lead ... Barelyyyyy

SoMnFan -> RE: MLB General Information PT 4 (4/6/2016 3:39:21 PM)

Jeez, the Brewers have a more goober-ish crew doing post-game than we do. [:D]

How exciting

Nolasco will be available out of the bullpen tonight. Will have 7 days' rest between starts.

So much for that plan.

Aaron Hicks was supposed to come in and provide the Yankees with depth, both at the plate — where he hits from both sides — and in the outfield — where he can play all three positions.

It’s why they got him from the Twins this offseason and why manager Joe Girardi raised some eyebrows by benching Brett Gardner in Tuesday’s season opener against Houston lefty Dallas Keuchel.

None of those traits were on display in a 5-3 loss at Yankee Stadium.

Instead, he misplayed a Jose Altuve liner to left that went for a leadoff double in the fourth, and led to the Astros’ first run.

Yeah, he's an ath-uh-lete, but he has a penchant for misreading balls.
Expect him to be on a very short leash in NY

Salty is looking comfy in there, not expecting him to be a stud, just another guy.

Carlos Correa would probably still be in AA or making his debut this year, vs what he's doing for Houston

If Correa's power is for real he will be the best player in baseball this year.

San Diego became the first team in MLB history to be shut out in its first three games after getting blanked by the Dodgers again tonight.

Who in their right mind put together the Twins first week schedule?
Seems like we have been in Baltimore for a week.....another today, then off
to KC for Three....this sh*t does not happen to the Yanks, Red Sox, or Dodgers,
that is for sure!

Yanks and Astros in another softball contest, 5-4 in the 4th inning.

Already 2 homers each side.

Lasted until the bottom of the 5th. Pretty nice run.

Mr. Ed -> RE: MLB General Information PT 4 (4/8/2016 6:04:24 AM)

Cubs catcher/outfielder Kyle Schwarber left today’s game after a scary collision with Dexter Fowler. Preliminary x-rays were negative, with the initial diagnosis suggesting that he has escaped with only a left ankle sprain, MLB.com’s Carrie Muskat was among those to report on Twitter. He’ll have an MRI tomorrow for a closer look.

Mr. Ed -> RE: MLB General Information PT 4 (4/8/2016 11:18:13 AM)

handful of teams still looking for 1st win.

MN only AL team.

Smilin' Ben has oblique strain, on Nats' DL.

ewen21 -> RE: MLB General Information PT 4 (4/8/2016 4:23:10 PM)

I heard an Aaron Hicks at bat on the radio as I was driving home from work earlier. He took two strikes and the was called out when he could hold a check swing on the third pitch.
0-3 today.

I don't miss him, but that's just me
