Seager off the Dodger roster for the NLCS......a blow to the Dodgers.

Will Verlander step up today and show that he can still be a dominant pitcher?

Will Gardy be the Red Sox's next manager......I hope so......love for revenge to the Red Sox fans for what they did to Jim Eisenreich. Still bitter about their treatment of him in Fenway.

I feel you on the Gardy to Boston stuff. We are just a couple of more Twins fans who hope he goes to Boston only because it serves them right if they get him.

I just can't see it.
Yet the idea of Gardy in Boston is delicious to me. The Boston media and fan might be even worse than NY. I'm not even kidding. For baseball Boston and Philadelphia fans rival Yankee fans and in some cases surpass them. I don't see how Gardy works in Boston

The Fans would revolt almost instantaneously. They will look at Gardy's history of curling up in a ball in the corner and pissing his pants against the Yankees and see failure...and they'd be right.

Two great series so far
Hoping the Yanks get back in this week
Hoping the Cubs get swept

SoMnFan -> RE: MLB General Information PT 4 (10/16/2017 8:41:44 AM)

Maddon still amazes me
Gets lots done with less
He has NO bullpen
It might be worse than ours.
And they're still battling every night

Hoping that things continue on their present course.[:D]

Homer off Lackey.....couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.[&:]

Omaha might be their best pen option
Think about that

Dude flirts with disaster every outing. But usually wiggles out of it.

I think I'd take Edwards Jr. and Wade Davis. But is Davis healthy?

SoMnFan -> RE: MLB General Information PT 4 (10/16/2017 9:14:53 AM)

Altuve was out the other night by ten feet, but Sanchez is an awful catcher of the ball.
Pretty damn even series

I was exaggerating for effect
Good on Omaha.
I thought he'd be playing for the saints

Btw
The leprechaun with a dandy hair show last night
That's some nasty salad

twinsfan -> RE: MLB General Information PT 4 (10/16/2017 9:32:01 AM)

Eric Byrnes is working on a mustache. And his hairstyle gets weirder every time I see him.

Unlikely to see him behind the plate much next season.

Hits Righties well enough to be full time DH, where he belongs.

SoMnFan -> RE: MLB General Information PT 4 (10/16/2017 11:05:00 AM)

Yup, he's gotta be moved out from behind the plate

MDK -> RE: MLB General Information PT 4 (10/16/2017 11:32:41 AM)

Went back and looked at the play.....he really butchered the catch on that throw.

Reminded me of Mathew LeCroy's catching skills

Don't cry, Frank Robinson ....

I'm hoping they both get swept.

The Viking-thread poster in me wants you to realize that I was complaining about Sanchezs catching skills all year, esp when the playoffs started.
Ouch!
Patting your own back really stretches some different muscles ......

MDK -> RE: MLB General Information PT 4 (10/16/2017 11:55:26 AM)

He can hit.
He can hit.

twinsfan -> RE: MLB General Information PT 4 (10/16/2017 12:10:36 PM)

The relay and throw home could have been better.

twinsfan -> RE: MLB General Information PT 4 (10/16/2017 12:13:15 PM)

Watching it again now, that was the most lackadaisical "game on the line" relay I've ever seen. Good job, Yankees...you are God's gift to baseball, after all. [sm=vomit.gif]

twinsfan -> RE: MLB General Information PT 4 (10/16/2017 12:52:26 PM)

After the ball got away from Sanchez, as a last resort he tried to kick Altuve. Not cool.

Aaron Cross -> RE: MLB General Information PT 4 (10/16/2017 2:23:42 PM)

I thought Gregarious was interfered with on the throw.

Could make a case for it, but (even as a Yankee fan) I'm okay with the no call. I'd prefer they let 'em play, especially in the post season.

Unless it's egregious, let it go.

My ..... Such hate.
That's unbecoming, young man.

SoMnFan -> RE: MLB General Information PT 4 (10/16/2017 4:25:31 PM)

Huge game in the Bronx tonight
CC has been awesome lately, but this is the type of game where the Astros just RAKE people to death.
Wind blowing from LF to RF .... Could see a dozen homers in the short porch tonight
