Escobar pretty much set at 3rd rest/season in Arizona Diamondbacks third baseman Jake Lamb will undergo season-ending surgery on his left shoulder, manager Torey Lovullo announced to reporters on Thursday (Twitter link via Zach Buchanan of The Athletic). Lamb was previously said to be weighing surgery to repair a frayed left rotator cuff.

Rugged game for MIL. Dodgers hit seven dingers, scored 21 in the finale. And despite all of that, they're still just a game up on the Pesky Diamondbacks, and MIL is only a game back of the Chubbies.

I think that staff over achieved first half of the season. And now, Severino is really struggling. He's been real bad over his last 5 starts. Failed to pitch 6 innings in the last 5 starts.
