Great reliever.

The Washington Nationals have fired an employee who allegedly threw two cups of hot coffee in the face of a female convenience-store employee in the Dominican Republic, the team told ESPN on Saturday.

In a Twitter video posted Friday night, Jazhiel Morel, who was the administrator of the Nationals' academy in Boca Chica, Dominican Republic, was shown filling up coffee cups before exchanging words with the cashier and then throwing the coffee on her.

Morel has agreed to turn himself in to police Monday morning, his lawyer, Rafael Ariza, told Dominican journalist Edith Febles.

"The Washington Nationals learned of this horrific incident earlier today and immediately terminated the employee," Mike Rizzo, the Nationals' president of baseball operations and general manager, said in a statement to ESPN on Saturday. "We do not tolerate this type of behavior in our organization."

I want to make sure I understand the new 3 batter rule for RPs. If I understand correctly;
RP must either finish any inning he enters or pitch to at least three batters.
If he enters a new inning after completing the prior one he must once again pitch to three batters.
There is no allowance for a lefty or righty specialist to just get one batter.
Does this rule apply to starters each inning they pitch?
Are there any exceptions (I presume injury) or anything else I'm missing?

Starting SEPT 18
MLB has told its teams that they can hold instructional league workouts/games for its minor leaguers. Teams that do so will be required to pay their players at their normal in-season pay rate.

Mr. Ed -> RE: MLB General Information PT 4 (9/2/2020 10:50:55 AM)

No team does more with less

Tampa: 26th mlb payroll and

Top record in the AL

Top farm system in MLB

Their scouting and development system should be the envy of many.

Incredible franchise for a long time now.
Surprised they don't have a ring or two. but they are always just a little short at the end.

Apparent as part of the negotiations between majors and minors

A source told me of plans for the Appy League to become a college wood bat league for recent HS grads & college freshman, a sort of MLB-owned version of the Northwoods Lg. New/adjusted HS showcases as well

I feel a potential no hitter/perfect game brewing so I have to either be first to call it or jinx it.
Young soon to be stud pitcher Corbin Burnes of the Milwaukee Brewers has gone 4 innings on only 51 pitches.
Team is leading 7-0 so I don't know if that helps or hurts his cause.

kgdabom -> RE: MLB General Information PT 4 (9/9/2020 2:04:18 PM)

I jinxed him. He gave up a hit the next inning and needed 17 pitches to get through it.

kgdabom -> RE: MLB General Information PT 4 (9/9/2020 2:41:09 PM)

7 innings 1 hit no walks 11Ks and 90 pitches.
Brewers up 15-0. I'm guessing this is his last inning. But who knows.
They pulled him after 7.
I jinxed him, but not far off from a perfect game.

I think the relief pitcher must either finish the inning or pitch to at least 3 batters.

There is no requirement to pitch to 3 more batters if he finished the previous inning.
