Fun game.
Should have been tied in the third, (by the feel of it) .... but you look up and its 5-1.
Wilcox is the best Gopher Goalie ever, or at least in my lifetime.
It could have easily been 3-0 BSU in the first.
you Beaver fans will have a fun year. That team is fast enough to stay with anyone, and they work their bags off. Fun team to watch.

Not to be a jackass... I've watched a few ... but aren't they?
I mean... aren't they actually public access, or that level?
I've always assumed they were students or advisors in the media dept.

I looked it up on Wikipedia just to make sure. Public Access Television and just Public Television are different.


In the United States of America, the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) produces public television, offering an educational television broadcasting service of professionally produced, highly curated content. It is not public-access television, and has no connection with cable-only PEG television channels. Although non-commercial educational television bears some resemblance to the E of PEG, PBS bears little resemblance to public-access television.

BSU games are on PBS. The announcers have been the same each of the last several years. I suppose in a town of 15,000 or whatever, it's kind of hard to find 2 guys that are capable TV announcers for a sport. We probably don't want to be too hard on them though - being such a small city, I bet Drew knows them. [:D]

Its a low-buck production is all I meant I guess ....
They don't seem that bad, they are just a product of the product.
I actually enjoy it, it brings you back to a simpler time.
I didn't even mind the guys on the broadcast tonight, they seemed pretty neutral to me.
Respectful to Minnesotas reputation, but very impressed with BSUs abilities.

That is what I saw last night too. It was better than some of the BTN productions we had to sit through last season.

The production last night was 1,000 times better than the regular BSU broadcasts on Lakeland Public TV. The LPTV broadcasts are what SMF and I are talking about. They basically run it with one camera.

St. Cloud State has had a really nice run in Hockey and came into this season ranked 6th in the nation. They got a home split with a good Colgate Squad but just got annihilated at defending national champion Union last night. Need to bounce back tonight or a big fall down the rankings is likely.

Huh. Same rotation as the series against UND. Must be waiting for one of them to prove they should be the full-time starter. Walsh will need to play much better than he did last season to have any chance at sticking.

I didn't see enough of it to comment much. Pretty much just flipped over during commercials. I thought one of the goals should have been taken away. Guys in the crease and he was interfered with.

Every single Game Summary stat after 2 periods is close. SOG, hits, scoring chances, etc....everything is within 1 or 2. BSU holding their own tonight. Pretty sure they won't end up on top, but they've done well so far.

Next year schedule these games later in the year....after the World Series is over, please.
