If Lombardozzi's name was worth spelling right that might be an issue.

See, that's exactly what I thought was going on. So really, not my fault on this one.

Harrington apparently misread things.

Put him on notice. He obviously doesn't realize who he's working for.

The only things that matter are walks and OBP, so Hicks is golden.

Not the only things, but the most important things.

Twinsfan is one of my favorite posters but his newfound born again sabertianity is sort of Zoiloish.

He'll be dealt with. Quietly, but effectively.

djskillz -> RE: Players and prospects III (10/30/2014 9:14:21 AM)

I was hoping for more of a Gardy "thrown under the bus in the press" moment, Dave.

MDK -> RE: Players and prospects III (10/30/2014 10:03:39 AM)

Sabertianity?

Nice.

Wonder if someone will write a book entitled "A Sabertian Nation"

If so, it would be a good read if anything like "A Christian Nation"

Thanks MDK,
I was quite proud of myself for coming up with sabertianity and born again sabertian.

Mr. Ed -> RE: Players and prospects III (10/31/2014 9:12:39 AM)

5-4 loss for Salt River

Rosario 1-4/R

Jones IP BB/2K

And Rosario IS on the all-star roster.

McMurfy -> RE: Players and prospects III (10/31/2014 9:52:10 AM)

Rosario, while always in the discussion, is kind of the afterthought in the Sano/Buxton/Meyer bright future discussions.

Wouldn't surprise me one bit if he turns out to be the best of the 4 players by reaching his full potential while the others don't.

Dave E -> RE: Players and prospects III (10/31/2014 9:59:37 AM)

If nothing else, the guy has stayed healthy. Did we ever hear what the 50 game suspension was for? I got the impression is was not for PEDs.

TJSweens -> RE: Players and prospects III (10/31/2014 10:21:51 AM)

I think he was a repeat offender for weed.

Mr. Ed -> RE: Players and prospects III (11/1/2014 8:06:02 AM)

Salt River won Friday 8-6

Rosario 2-5/double/SB(10)

Adam IP H/BB

That game was on MLB net last night. Rosario has a sweet swing, and another lefty

You know the Twins love Dozier. If the Twins have their sights on Dozier long term then Rosario makes a good trade piece.
Frankly, it might be better the other way around. Trade Dozier

But you are right. I am getting weary of all the hype about Sano/Buxton/Meyer.

A couple of years ago people were talking about these guys helping to make us contenders in 2015 meanwhile not one of them have played a major league game yet. Is the assumption they'll get here and instantly be superstars?
I'm just not seeing it right now

drew -> RE: Players and prospects III (11/1/2014 11:36:19 AM)

Does anyone think Rosario comes north after Spring Training next year? I think he'll hit up here.

I think Rosario is a guy that will have the Twins kicking themselves if they were to trade him. We are finally getting some hitting prospects on the level of Justin Morneau when he was a prospect reaching the top levels of the system. I really would rather use them as a nucleus than trade them. Ultimately Rosario is the guy that winds up making someone like Hicks or Arcia available, IMO.
