One day after her Stanford team lost to Tenn, Candice Wiggens (Dada played for Padres) was taken third over all by the Lynx.

Tim is this a good fit?

Hey Jim I am back. As for the Wiggins pick according to some there was a terrific two Parker and Fowles and then everybody else. Some had Wiggins as part of the top three players and then everybody else. Maybe the truth is there was the top two then a dropoff to Wiggins and then another dropoff to everybody else. I think Parker is a flat out lock franchise player with Fowles and Wiggins potential all stars but not the total difference maker of Parker.

Hate to quote myself but this had to be done. Parker is probably the best female basketball player in the world allready. First game 34-12-8. Leads her team to victory over the defending champions.

I hate to go superbole on you all but this could be the most significant victory in Lynx history. Beating a perennial title contender with ease in the first game of the season. Sets the tone for a possible very good year.

The accumulated years in the lottery have served them better than the Wolves.

Forgive us, Dustin.
When your NBA team is the Wolves, the WNBA becomes relevant.

I think a big problem for the WNBA is the totally unreliable schedule. The Lynx played  there first game on May 18th. They play their second game on May 27th. The Lynx opponent from May 18th Detroit has played three games allready. WTF.

Lynx finally play their second game and win. They had to make a big comeback and win in OT. It looks like the rookies are real good. Anosike through two games looking great and Wiggins strong as well.

I found it very funny that the results weren't even in this mornings paper. It started the same time the Twins and they had their reports. Maybe they didn't send anyone to Houston to cover the game. In fact watching the Twins game, they periodically run a scroll on the bottom with updated scores and they didn't even give a score on the Lynx. I had to go to ESPN to get the results

Jim it is a shame how messed up things have gotten with the WNBA. How can they have a team open the season on May 18th and not play their second game until May 27th while other teams in the league have already played five games. What a buzzkill it was to have the Lynx open the season with a huge win and then not play again for nine days.

The Lynx might be good or even very good this year. They are 3-0 with two road wins and Detroit who they beat in the opener is now 4-1. Go Lynx.

And with that win, their #3 draft pick again had a big night. If only the Wolves can get that lucky this year having 3 productive draft picks.

Have the Wolves had 3 productive draft picks in their history total?

The Lynx are now 4-0. Rookie first round draft pick Candice Wiggins had a huge game with 18 points and 12 assists. I would not be surprised if 12 assists is a Lynx record. Augustus her usual awesome self with 22 points. Phoenix is now 0-4 but they have Diana Taurasi and Cappie Poindexter those are two of the bigger stars in the league.

Houston with 18 points and 13 rebounds as well.

Seems like the Lynx have figured out how to draft.

Pretty funny but I have been KGdaBom since his rookie season and I don't think that will ever change. Still go Lynx. Go Wolves.
