She and Herbert Harrigan could get Reeve another executive of the year award.

That little guard? No respect for Dangerfield, Phil?

If she keeps doing what she is doing I will call her that....it is working The old Lynx coach didn't know what hit him (Angler). Harrigan looks small and wiry while we are at it....I was surprised that she is 6'2"....

Sims starting to look like herself again. 17 points, 9 assists, 7 rebounds in the win.

And more importantly, she meshed very well with Dangerfield.

Lynx with an uncharacteristically poor defensive game dug themselves too big of a hole last night against Phoenix.

Dangerfield almost dug them out of it with 15 of her 20 on the 4th quarter.

Doesn't get any easier against the Sparks tonight.

Lynx snap Sparks 9 game winning streak.

Now 1 win away from locking up a playoff spot. And we’re holding the final fist round bye spot by .5 games.

Dangerfield, Collier, and Rachel Banham was hitting everything coming off of the bench.

It's amazing what good drafts and good personnel decisions can do for a franchise. Consider that the Lynx are closing in on a first round bye with Big Syl out of the lineup for more than half the season. I don't know if there is even a time table for her return.

In the 2019 draft Reeve targeted Napheesa Collier early on and tried in vain to move up to be in position to draft her. Luckily an off senior year shooting the 3 caused Collier to fall in Reeve's lap. Jessica Sheppard looked like a second round steal until her knee injury.

Collier spent the next year lobbying Reeve to take Crystal Dangerfield. She was considered the top pure point guard in the draft. Due concerns over her height and whether she could assume a scoring role, Dangerfield fell to us in the second round.

These two are filling up the stat sheet very efficiently and drawing so much attention that the door gets open wide for other players to go off in any given game. Last night Banham and Dantas went off for 18 and 17. In other games during this stretch, Sims, Herbert-Harrigan, Brown, Carlton and others have taken turns chipping in with big nights along with Dantas chipping in regularly.

One reason this has worked out well is that Reeve has rebuilt the supporting cast to emphasize 3 and D. Out of 7 players who have shot at least 20 tres, only Lexie Brown is shooting below .345. Banham and Collier are both over 40%.

Reeve has done a great job rebuilding the roster in the wake of the championship run. If they can get Fowles back in time for the playoffs, they are right there with the best teams in the league this year.

I'm really curious to see what Syl could do in this current offense.

She's NEVER had this kind of shooting around her since she's been here.

It should really open up the lane for Big Syl. A dominant inside scorer, surrounded by a couple of emerging stars and a depth of 3 and D is a completely different look than the championship teams.

If you haven't seen them, check out the clips of Reeve here:

She's probably the closest thing to Popovitch in basketball at any level.

Congrats to Crystal Dangerfield for being named the Rookie of the Month for August.

In August, Dangerfield scored 20 or more points in six games, the most of any rookie, and helped the Lynx to a 9-4 record with averages of 18.1 points, 3.5 assists and 2.0 rebounds per game.

Imagine if she wasn't too short to play in the WNBA.

Would never have guessed that would happen at the beginning of the year.

Especially if you'd have told me Syl would only play in 7 of the first 16 games.
