How either one gets any is mind-boggling.

I thought this was a site for sports fans?

Finishing so terribly that they get the 1st pick in the draft seemingly every year? Yeah, I guess that beats the Twolves' approach.

A buddy of mine wore a Whiskey River t-shirt the other day....I asked him why he was wearing a T-Shirt of a new bar nearby....he looked at me as though I lived under a rock. How the hell would I know Dale Jr owns some Whiskey River bars and secondly why would I care.

I think with the success the Lynx have with ping pong balls, the Wolves need to send the same person. To their lottery draw

Let me just say this again....this is an amazing thread.

Well time to get even more amazed because training camp opens tomorrow, May 15th

Training camp roster is set :

http://www.wnba.com/lynx/news/pressrelease_Lynx_Announce_Training_Camp_Roster_2011_05_13.html

Players
1 - Jessica Adair
21 -Kachine Alexander

33 -Seimone Augustus
32 -Rebekkah Brunson
6 - Amber Harris
9 - Quanitra Hollingsworth
14- Alexis Hornbuckle

24 - Charde Houston
8 - Taj McWilliams-Franklin
23 - Maya Moore
2 - Angel Robinson
13 - Lindsay Whalen
11 - Candice Wiggins
22 - Monica Wright

Teams can have max of 15 in camp. Looks like the team will go with 14 for camp which is fine. People (in bold) trying to fill out the 11 player final roster should get a good look. The 1st pre-season gm is not until 5/24 at Concordia in St Paul.

Interesting fact : (I believe) The Lynx may be the only team in the league that has no playes in their 30s on the roster. Of course we have 1 of the two 40 yr olds in the league on the team.

Media day set for May 20.

She's very attractive, I think, and also she speaks very well. I think that she'd be an outstanding ambassador for the league if she can succeed on the court and stay healthy.

My opinion is that she could for office when her career is over. She is very engaging and has a lot of charisma.

The adults and media came to see rookie Maya Moore, the wonder woman from Connecticut, but left talking just as much about another Lynx rookie. Amber Harris, a 6-5 forward from Xavier scored 10 points and had a game-high 10 rebounds in a little under 16 minutes.

Could it be that the rookie of the year will be our second pick? Just a thought.

Awesome news. Maya will be the better of the two but maybe not by a huge margin.

I was near the Concordia College campus and all of these youngsters were walking around. I couldn't figure it out, so I asked a parking lot attendant. He told me that it was a Lynx game.

The players with local roots were cut. There was one player who apparently made the team, a 6'4" center whose name I didn't recognize after they traded Hollingsworth.

Jessica Adair is her name. Here is something about her- why I hadn't heard of her and why she made the team:

I'm real surprised Angel Robinson was cut. No doubt she will catch on with somebody this year or after a year in Europe.
