History of having great softball teams. The year my daughter's team UNO won the DII National Championship we had more trouble from them than any other team in the nation. Th NCC always had very good softball teams.

Minnesota, which went 13-1 at home this season, plays host to a super regional for the first time. No pitcher remaining in the tournament has more strikeouts than Golden Gophers junior Amber Fiser, who has 328. Led by Amanda Sanchez, with a .540 on-base percentage, LSU ranks 10th in the nation in on-base percentage (.410). LSU is going for its seventh trip to the Women's College World Series; Minnesota is going for its first. Freshman Natalie DenHartog leads the Golden Gophers with 17 home runs.
Schedule
Friday
Game 1: (10) LSU (43-17) vs. (7) Minnesota (44-12), 5 p.m. (ESPN2)
Saturday
Game 2: (7) Minnesota vs. (10) LSU, 6 p.m. (ESPN2)
Sunday
Game 3: (10) LSU vs. (7) Minnesota (if necessary), 4 p.m. (ESPN)

Status: offline 		Whew. LSU gave us a scare in game 1, but the Gophers came back to win it 5-3. Finish them off today. We don't need the drama of a game 3. Just go out and put them out of their misery. It's foot on the throat time.
