Worse, the age spots are where the money is invested. Invest in players in long-term contracts and you eventually get little return on your investment.

The good news is that all three of them are highly movable next season although I sure wouldn't do anything with Smith. Linval has only $2.4 million in dead cap nest season and Rhodes is $4.8 million. Smith is only $2 million but again I wouldn't move him for anything - he's an incredible value.

Cousins’ inaccuracy was noticeable on short passes, as he was 12-of-24 on pass attempts under 10 yards against Kansas City.

Minnesota gave up 377 total yards against the Chiefs, but 202 of them came on just four plays, including touchdowns of 91 and 40 yards.

Minnesota now ranks fourth with 17.6 points allowed per game, and is seventh at 320.9 yards allowed per game.

Dallas is one spot away in each category, as the Cowboys are fifth in points allowed (17.8) and sixth in yards allowed (318.1).

Hopefully we get "Good Kirk" in the Dallas showing and he forgets that he doesnt play well in front of National Spotlight! Need this game badly to keep any hopes for playoffs alive.

We will need the twin headed draft bust monster of Treadwell and Doctson to make an impact and along with Bisi take the constant pressure off Diggs so maybe Kirk will look his way more this week.

Tough loss, but at least it was on the road vs a non conference opponent.

The game completely turned on the questionable ineligible downfield call on Bradbury. took away a nice gain to their 27 and totally derailed a promising drive up 6. A few plays later Williams goes for 91.

Harrison is usually the fixer but he and Harris were terrible on the 91 yard run.

What are the odds Matt Moore gets stripped and literally belly flops onto the ball, in hindsight Harrison should have thrown him aside and allowed one of the other defenders to pick up the ball. Zim called the perfect blitz there.

I still don't know how the Chiefs get ball at their own 44 after the Weatherly strip. Williams picks it up and winds up at his own 39. Guessing they blew it dead from where the fumble happened. Really unfortunate the boys couldn't recover 2 crucial fumbles like that. Had it been 2nd & 26 see would see a different call from Reid. No excuse, but I can't really blame Mac it was a perfect throw and catch.

Thielen was a big loss today, there were opening that he would have easily exploited today.

The run game was a disappointment, it was a strange game as far as game script went. A couple of TFL at crucial points and some crucial 3rd down early like the Abdullah one and Kirk sliding too early hurt.

Very winnable game.

Those calls are like holding calls. Plenty of them to call but refs only pick out certain ones. It's like they have a scouting report on teams and players and they(refs) have to meet their quotas.

I swore I watched us run another screen later in the game and Bradbury was even further down field. No call.

He wasn't even downfield when the ball was released; the Fox ref said it was a blown call. It wasn't the reason we lost, but I agree with Rob that it was a crucial turning point.

That said, I agree with your premise that refs are occasionally anticipating penalties/non-penalties (balls/strikes) in all sports. It's the driver behind star calls, especially in the NBA.

I guess I should rewatch it. Looked to me like he was almost 5 yards past the line of scrimmage when the pass released. I just remember the Fox commentator saying that the refs aren't going to give you more than a yard in the NFL.

Why do I have this dread feeling he will be in our starting lineup within 2 weeks?

PFF CB scores

2016: Waynes — 18th, Rhodes — 1st

2017: Waynes — 42nd, Rhodes — 21st

2018: Waynes — 45th, Rhodes — 33rd

2019: Waynes — 53rd, Rhodes — 71st

Waynes has settled into mediocrity and Rhodes has fallen off the cliff. I know some think he's "faking" when he has to leave the field limping multiple times each season after getting burned, but he could have some type of arthritic (?) lower body condition that is exacerbated by extreme effort. I'd rather see Hill, Mac or Hughes starting.

Wow, those numbers are brutal. Going into the season I was worried about losing Waynes and Mac because of salary cap issues. Now, not so much. The team needs to replace both of them next year with Hughes, and Hill, and sign Mac to continue in the slot. We'll eat a chunk of dead money for Rhodes, but at this point that would still be addition by subtraction.

Dave and Pager - must of been a heck of an experience attending that game. Too bad they couldn't of pulled it out for you. The environment to follow would of been super nuts.

- I made the comment on Game Day that I wish I could mute the announcers and just listen to the crowd.

I'll volunteer. You seem like a caring man who is passionate about things in your life. From your dealings in here, you would seem to be a pleasant person whom others like to be around and who is nice to random people you come across in life.

And the team quickly scrubbed Wobby from all team media info and bios... One has to wonder just what he did!

IIRC he married one of the Wilf daughters

He was awful at his job

Things are very quiet out of both parties on what has happened but seems to be something to do with actions with spousal or family implications that likely all involved would like to stay private... but likely wont.
