Oh man, Dantzler could be a steal for the Vikings.

Guy allowed less than 43% of passes thrown his way to be caught in his college career, and a passer rating of 44.

Zimmer pick project when we need plug and play... reach here when a simple trade up would have netted play now tallent...

Doesn't sound developmental at all. Seems ready to play right now.

his lack of any sort of strength is worrisome projecting to the NFL.

Strength isn't critical for a Corner. What I like is he was very successful against both Jefferson and Chase.

I hope so. His value seems scattered all over the place.

Durvernay was the Packer fans last hope. I think some of them want the franchise to fold.

Good pick. He held his own vs JaMarr Chase who torched dudes on a regular basis

I'm on two message boards tonight. Universal love for Dantzler on the other.

If Muti or Weaver is still there in 10 picks I'll be much happier.

4.6 speed is concerning.

He ran really slow at the combine, but I found this:

I don't think Dantzler is a 4.6 guy tbh.

I think he's a 4.4 guy, but he's also like 175lbs.

He bulked up and ran like a pig.

It's silly to not use some.of that draft ammunition for moving up now. They must really feel confident about their scouting to hold so many picks. Or they simply can't move them.

ESPN Post-Draft Analysis
We said the Vikings probably weren't done addressing the corner positon when they took Jeff Gladney in the first round and general manager Rick Spielman adds an intriguing corner here. Dantzler fell because he didn't run well but he's a tough press corner, making him a good fit for the Vikings and he has the confidence to push for early playing time. -- Steve Muench

They say that happened with Reagor also. If he's a 4.4 guy we can help him bulk up over time without losing much speed.

Please trade up for Muti.
Dude is mean and nasty..
Prolly get laundry tossed at him for “playing“ beyond whistle.
We need some of that, if we can get him to dial back slightly.

I see Dantzler as a safety or big dime or nickle guy. He just needs to get in the weight room, that will not be a problem. He's a solid pick here, now go IOL and we have things looking pretty solid going forward!

We were already too vertically challenged. 2 CBs are enough. If we lose Tyler Johnson for Amik Robertson I'll be pissed.

Ezra Cleveland posted the best three-cone (7.26) and best short-shuttle (4.46) of any offensive lineman at the combine to go along with a 4.93-second 40.

(PFF MIN Vikings on Twitter)

Cleveland is a great athlete. #Vikings did a lot of due-dilgence on/with him pre-draft. Word is RB Mattison, former teammate at Boise, is a big fan.
