I see Dantzler as a safety or big dime or nickle guy. He just needs to get in the weight room, that will not be a problem. He's a solid pick here, now go IOL and we have things looking pretty solid going forward!

Thanks Dana, I was not feeling good at all initially.

Ok, convinced me more on Dantzler than my quick read knowledge... TY

#Vikings GM Rick Spielman on new CB Cameron Dantzler: “I’m very excited to add another corner to our mix. ... Big, tall corner that’s very athletic for his size. ... He has all the physical traits we’re looking for, and his length really helps down the field as well.’’

(Chris Tomasson on Twitter)

He ran really slow at the combine, but I found this:

I don't think Dantzler is a 4.6 guy tbh.

I think he's a 4.4 guy, but he's also like 175lbs.

He bulked up and ran like a pig.

(Sam Monson on Twitter)

They say that happened with Reagor also. If he's a 4.4 guy we can help him bulk up over time without losing much speed.

Big if true. Could develop into a really good player over time. Maybe a Danielle Hunter type pick - draft for upside.

He ran a 4.38 in the Baton Rouge Pro Day. Not sure what to say about two very different 40 times.

I did post at the same time you were, wondering if Zimmer views him as a S, but it makes sense as the Kearse replacement.

We still need IOL (Muti) and DT/DE help. Another WR with plus speed or a big physical guy would be nice.

I hold reservation to see who we get later.

Well. We’ll soon find out just how much speed matters at corner. 2nd slowest 40 for corners at the combine.

Always add 1/10th second to pro day times minimum.

Packer Draft

1 QB
2 RB
3 TE
4 - traded away pick

Wow!

This team was a game away from the superbowl... haven't seemed to really improved much if at all.
These guys could certainly pan out but apparently they are banking on no football this year.

The guy had a lousy combine, but the film was great.

That is quite a disparity. Maybe too much weight too quickly really was the issue. I'll be honest, I'm not really familiar w/ him. I hope he's a beast. Sounds scrappy, which is good and hope does spring eternal.

Holy shit what is he doing???
There was at least 4 other TEs ranked higher than him left. You might like a guy but you have to have reasonable assumptions about where other teams rank them.

Zimmer is pounding the table for Amik Robertson now to refill his CB stable.

We were already too vertically challenged. 2 CBs are enough. If we lose Tyler Johnson for Amik Robertson I'll be pissed.

I was being a little facetious, but could actually see his sanguineous visage glowing like. an angry garden gnome and spittle flying everywhere in my mind's eye.

Zimmer pick project when we need plug and play... reach here when a simple trade up would have netted play now tallent...

Doesn't sound developmental at all. Seems ready to play right now.

his lack of any sort of strength is worrisome projecting to the NFL.

Zuerlin at nfl.com says he is 'surprisingly strong.'

Please trade up for Muti.
Dude is mean and nasty..
Prolly get laundry tossed at him for “playing“ beyond whistle.
We need some of that, if we can get him to dial back slightly.

Muti is a power player not sure he moves well enough for our scheme(?). Bruiser.

GJohn Simpson, Clemson is nfl.com's highest rated G ... lots of power but effective on the move too.

Please go that route.
