Seriously. Trade back up in the 4th from 24th to 14th. And start trading some of these picks for next year. Trade one of our 4th rounders for a third.

What are we doing to do with 13 day 3 picks otherwise?

Other GMs have to laughing their as##### off.

There are plenty of good players that will get drafted tomorrow. We have the ammo to move all over the place to get some very solid players, let's let it play out, it could be a very fun day tomorrow!

My preference would be to turn our 3 4th rounders all into early 4th rounders.

Yes .. but it is hard watching decent players drizzle away.

I'm just going to keep telling myself, 'this is a very deep draft, this is a very deep draft, this is ...'

If 13 picks isn't generating Williams, Curtis Samuels, ets ... a couple picks in the 2021 draft ... oh and 7 or 8 third day picks ...

I'll be bummed.

Pretty sure Williams is out of the picture at this point.

You dont pull that just to trade up right away in 4th, you pull that trade for shear numbers because you think you are smarter tallent eval that anyone else and have a board with steals waiting to fall in 5th 6th and 7th

Gotta be, right?

If we get Weaver, Simpson, Eason, and Blankenship, then I'm good.

I want us to get the first pick tomorrow.

And we didn't really need to use it today, maybe it will provide more value tomorrow. We got good value a tpositions of need today, maybe tomorrow we just move around for pure BPA.

Thats 4 picks for 1. We have 13 day 3 picks. Unfreaking believable. I don't hate it.

For the math nerds. Pick 105 worth 31 all the crap above worth 30. All I can think of is he has guys in the 4th that are interchangable big drop off in DT after miss at 82.Gallimore 9 best 80 score lynch from Baylor next a score of 72. It is too bad he didn't get above Dallas they have sniped before. Thinking about offensive lineman a couple of years ago, but that actually worked out because we traded down or stayed and got Brian O'Neill

and we got 2 pretty good ones. I get having problems with it. But honestly the odds of getting one better player out of those four picks than we would have with the one are very good.

The #Vikings have 13. . .THIRTEEN. . .picks on Day 3 of the 2020 #NFLDraft.

6th rd - #201, #203, #205
7th rd - #219, #244, #249, #253

Ben Goessling
@GoesslingStrib
This is the fourth time in five years the Vikings have traded out of the third round. Last year, they traded back four times before selecting Alexander Mattison in the third round.

Seth Walder
@SethWalder
The Vikings came out way ahead, value-wise, in their trade with New Orleans.
What the Saints gave up was worth roughly the 65th overall pick more than what they got back, according to our AV-based draft chart.

Chris Tomasson
@christomasson
The #Vikings have just 60 players on their roster and the offseason limit is 90. They will look to fill up a lot of those spots with draft choices and avoid the uncertainty of whether they can sign some as undrafted free agents. And the third-day picks won't affect the salary cap

Kevin Seifert
@SeifertESPN
Theory here: A lot of GMs are freaked out about the post-draft rush to sign undrafted free agents. Will be tougher to do with team execs who usually assist all working remotely. Spielman might just use Day 3 to ensure he drafts the priority FAs he really wants.

And at some point you increase the odds of wasted pick(s) as not all of them will make the team. We are now talking about more draft picks on day 3 than most have during the entire draft.

I fully agree. Players I really like going into tomorrow are Simpson, Weaver, K'von Wallace. Tyler Johnson, Reggie Robinson, Joe Reed, Bartch, Darnay Holmes, Muti, Kindley, Gipson, biadasz, these are just a few off of the top of my head. I couldn't find a list.

I would be so much happier with less assets on Day 3 and Gillimore on the team.

It doesn't really matter if a bunch don't make the team.
The key is finding a player on 3rd day that is more that just a guy.
If you find a Diggs or Thielen or Everson Griffin than the shotgun approach on the 3rd day is worth it.

I want us to move up in the 4th if we can. If we can turn our 2 late 4ths into early 4ths this will be very worth it. However I get the frustration. We may have preferred just taking one better player today. I still think this can work out quite well.

I love trade downs. But the fact remains = It is harder to do it in the 7th than it is in the 6th than it is in the 5th and so on. There is a balance between quantity and quality.

Thielen was an UDFA. So I guess the real play is not to draft anyone and sign 180 UDFA.

Plus we'll likely have no OTAs and less development opps this year. I would guess the hit rate is lower this year vs previous years as a result.
