Walter Football has the best mock I've seen on YouTube easy. They use common sense and logic. Two things that are usually lacking in a YouTube mock. I think we will like the players they come up with for us also.

Charlie Campbell looks like a female WWF wrestler

He knows his stuff though

I was unsure male or female when I first saw him LOL. However, he really does know his stuff. Did you make some kind of comment like that to get in trouble with the female journalist?

Speaking of receivers, Mel Kyper has his top 25 big board (especially interesting for us because we have two picks in top 25) and there are five receivers on it. Number four is someone that nobody here is talking about- the one out of Clemson. (Tee Higgins) Anybody here think he would look good in Purple? He is tall and very good at catching the contested passes and has enough speed to stretch the defenses. I don't know. I see others rating him lower.

https://www.detroitlions.com/news/meet-the-prospect-tee-higgins

My snap judgment is that I don't like Higgins. I will look into him more. Draft is coming soon. Have to have eyewitness of these players rather than going just on what I read.
Edit: Found this on Higgins.

Name: Tee Higgins

Position: Wide receiver

School: Clemson

Ht/Wt: 6-4/216

40-yard dash: 4.54 (pro day)

Bench: Did not bench

Vertical: 31 inches (pro day)

Broad: 123.0 (pro day)

3-cone: Did not run

20-yard shuttle: 4.25 (pro day)

Pro days are typically a tenth of a second faster than combine so Higgins might be a 4.64 WR which is LaQuon Treadwell speed.

I'm kind of just doing the due diligence. He looks a lot like Treadwell to me, too. Your point is well taken. 6'4" is a pretty big target for the red zone. Personally, I would like to see a YAC guy. That's what I'm going to keep repeating.

You do keep yaccing about it.

Interesting read.

"MINNESOTA: With two first-rounders, the Vikings are heavily expected to draft a wide receiver early, but I continue to hear this might not be a Day 1 priority. In a historically deep receiver class, there is a belief among league insiders that the Vikings could wait for a receiver and attack the defensive and offensive lines in Round 1."

This rings true considering the Vikings immediate needs and how their offense is structured. It's not our top priority and WR's usually take longer to make an impact that other positions. Just because we lost a star WR doesn't mean we need to take one in the first round. That line of thinking nets you Christian Ponder.

You build a team from the inside out. We simply got manhandled in the trenches last year.

This should be the #1 priority.

Udoh strikes me as someone who will not be manhandled. His presence at guard may help Bradbury, too.

Assuming he plays guard. Assuming he plays at all. It would be great if we could get a lot of holes filled from within.

I'm starting to watch Video, but highlights are near worthless because everybody can look good in highlights. That said comparing Fulton to Gladney, Gladney looks better. Fulton has 2 inches on Gladney though. AJ Terrell looks great in coverage plus is excellent in Run Support. Given my choice of the three as of now I'm going Terrell and he's the tallest and fastest based on combine times.

Except for a certain WR from the northwest

Bigo you are just trying to be irritating and succeeding in the attempt. I did not watch highlights of Mitchell. I watched game footage. That shows the good, the bad, and the ugly. That does have value. Highlights have some value, but very little. That's why I first got concerned about Treadwell because even on his highlights he was seldom open.

Touche. Good play on words.

I wish I had something profound to offer this morning, but I don't. 19 more days until the draft. It's like this every year. I look forward to it more than Christmas, or even the opening of the season. Each draft selection is liking opening a present.

I found this. Most interesting to me was the Ohio State CB that most of us are not familiar with. I was not.

I quickly skimmed through the "Friday Football Feast". They didn't address the draft hardly at all, except for Charch saying he hopes the Vikings find a way to get the corner Henderson, but he says that it will have to be by trading up about four spots.

I wonder what the Vikings think of St. Johns(MN) OT Bartch.

He might not make it past 3rd Round.

If we go WR, T, or G in the 1st, Arnette would be excellent value in the 2nd...Still really like Fulton or maybe Terrell better.

I don't think you go WR in 1st Round unless it is Ruggs, Lamb, Jeudy. Jefferson,Mims, Reagor, Aiyuk in a small trade down.

Grab the best CB and then either DLine or Oline, preferably Oline.

Pretty sure he gets drafted in third if he doesn't go in the second.

I'm going to take Claypool and Jefferson off my list of YAC guys. They are big and fast, but not the kind of elusive take it to the house from anywhere on the field kind of guy I am envisioning.

The more I look at the first-round of the #NFLDraft the more it appears that no OL, CB, and probably DL will be worth drafting at 22 or 25 for the #Vikings Sad.

That's utterly ridiculous.

I asked Ludford if we should trade up or down. He basically said it could work well either way. Then I asked him if he likes a WR there. I'll share if he responds.

There’s not really a bad option for the #Vikings with their first round picks:

Justin Jefferson
CJ Henderson
Kristan Fulton
Denzel Mims
Josh Jones
Tristan Wirfs
Grant Delpit
Xavier McKinney
Jeff Gladney
Javon Kinlaw
Ross Blacklock

They couldn’t go wrong with any of these guys.

https://www.vikings.com/video/pa-explains-why-vikings-definitely-should-go-cb-and-ol-early-hold-off-on-wr-and-

Because the WR draft is so deep, I'm going to go back to this with agreement. We also have a couple of options with Bisi and Sharpe to pick up the slack.
