A different take-
Harvin ultimately a risk I would’ve taken as well - Uber talented/ Elevated us.
Ponder was a need/ reach brutal selection. A lot of people usually get canned over picks like that.
Kalil was good until he received coaching that didn’t expect more out of him. 🙄 Dork, reaffirmed my dislike for USC players.
Rhodes ultimately a good pick. Who could foresee this cliff he dropped off relatively young.
Patterson although I loved aspects of his game was another waste of heavy capital/ picks for a gadget player.
Barr at #9 is a good pick, needs more consistency, not used properly in scheme IMO
Teddy (I’m biased) trading back up for him was a very good move. Who could foresee that injury ughhh. Love the kid
Waynes was ok, underachieved IMO, but not a bad pick at #11. Had the tools, not the killer instinct.
Treadwell bad, real bad, never showed anything.
Hughes got raves during his first training camp. Didn’t need CB in the 1st round, bad pick We’ll see/injury
Bradbury looked liked Elflein as a center early, came on a little (Trending bust) gotta get more stout. Why you don’t draft C in 1st.

All said we’ve been praised league wide for having one of the most talented rosters in the NFL the last 5-6 years inspite of many 1st round hickups.

This is THE MOST IMPORTANT DRAFT in quite a few years for us.

We can either hit a home run where we need it- OL, CB, WR, DL and be right back up there, or not, and fall back into the Mike Tice/ Leslie Frazier years....

Harvin -- Heart was never in the game. Only did it for the money.
Ponder -- Brutal pick
Kalil -- A classic gravy-train pick. Everybody thought he was gonna be his brother. Think Tom Arnold, one of the biggest gravy-trainers of all time
Rhodes -- was a star for a few years and then the game took its toll
Patterson -- gifted athlete who always gave 100%. One of the great return guys the Vikings have ever had. Not a great receiver, but had heart
Barr -- a guy the Vikings have always played out of position
Teddy -- S-A-W-F-T. Dude broke his leg walking on the practice field
Waynes -- DOUBLE S-A-W-F-T One of the worst picks the Vikings have made given their needs at the time. Didn't like him the minute they drafted him
Hughes -- Stud
Bradbury -- massive upgrade over Elflein, who was disappointing from day one. Showed some promise as a rookie.

I don't know Brad.

Elflain actually out performed Bradbury when comparing rookie seasons.

Waynes certainly was underwhelming but he was durable and good in run support. Not nearly as good of a coverage cb considering he was the 11th overall pick though.

Hughes i think will rebound this year. but far from a stud.

Waynes has been a bum since day one. I remember when he was finally named the opening-day starter in 2016 and he got schooled by Tajae Sharpe. That's right, Tajae, not Shannon.

A steal? I don't think so. The man has an injury history, a big contract and will be 32 when the season starts.

I agree it's not a steal – up front – I would call it a good deal because he's a beast when healthy, and you can invest in another position in the first rd.

It Williams plays a significant role for you in 2020 its an absolute steal.

Williams would be far better than any 3rd rounder we would choose.

Waynes first start he has 10 tackles 1 tfl. While giving up four catches to Sharpe no TD’s

Overall Sharpe had a whopping 7-76 yds.... mostly in garbage time going against Zimmers infamous prevent defense. OK Brad....

I see him in first rd. mocks but NEVER once for the Vikings.

I think its generally accepted by the media (that it would be awkward or worse), I just wonder if its true for the team and Diggs.

Playing defense for Zimmer is probably a little different than playing offense for Zimmer.

Shenault was a top 15 talent before his injury. They say he has fully recovered. He won't last until our 2nd round pick. If the OTs and CBs we really like are gone, then I think we can trade back (getting an extra pick which we really need this year) and get Shenault in the late 20s / early 30s since the WR position is so deep this year.
