I figure Macalester made the list partly because they attract a very altruistic type of student. Those are the kinds of students who, upon graduation, are very likely to go into service-type jobs, non-profits, or the Peace Corp. So when you compare the tuition versus the income they earn later - it makes it look like the school didn't prepare them for high paying corporate jobs.
