I figure Macalester made the list partly because they attract a very altruistic type of student. Those are the kinds of students who, upon graduation, are very likely to go into service-type jobs, non-profits, or the Peace Corp.

So when you compare the tuition versus the income they earn later - it makes it look like the school didn't prepare them for high paying corporate jobs.

Mayville State University and Macalester College named two of the 50 worst colleges in the country.

The criteria is pretty subjective. Macalaster is known for high academic standards and has a 90% graduation rate. This article puts them in the bottom 50 because their tuition is high and they only accept 39% of their applicants.

I knew you'd be defensive of Macalaster.

It's not just Macalester. The article uses a lot of statements like restricting free speech without any examples on a lot of institutions. It doesn’t impress me as a well researched list.

How idoes the percentage of applicants admitted make a school bad? All it means is they had a lot of applicants for a limited amount of openings.

I received an email from the Kenosha Kingfish. They are doing a Kenosha Twins night. a ticket and t-shirt with Kenosha Twins on the shirt. At Simmins field. I have not heard if any former players will be there.
Would be cool if Gardy and some of them came to the game.
